Does an Up a Wall Battle Work for You?

Something was bothering Gwen; she couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was something that didn't feel right to her. This wasn't a warning from her Spider-Sense, but rather something that had happened a moment ago. Something had just not clicked yet. Gwen began to make her way up the wall of the building, deciding that she wanted to have the high ground against her foe. The heroin crawled up the building's side backward and slowly, allowing her to make eye contact with the woman across from her as she did so. Gwendolyn's attention was drawn to something in the corner of her eye. The heroine took her eyes off the ex-con and looked over to her right. It was a young man, probably a college student, hanging his torso out of the window of what was most likely his apartment's window. He was holding his phone out, aimed at Ghost-Spider, mostly likely to get a photo or video of her.

Gwen then began to take note of the people around her. People on the streets also had their phones out; hell, there were some reporters on the scene with some expensive-looking cameras out. Even in the building across from her, people had their phones out. This was unusual, people tended to record any superhero fight or rescue that they encountered since it was basically a view magnet on every social media platform. The issue was that they were all pointing at Gwen. Not even the people across seemed interested in the floating woman that had cratered their building's side. Nope, all the attention was on the Wall Crawler. It took Gwen a second or two to realize why. Her suit was damaged. The attacks that had been dealt to her earlier ripped and tore areas of her suit, which left Gwen's body more exposed than it usually was. A good portion of the right cup of her blue bra was visible, and there was a tear large enough that it exposed the waist band to her underwear. "Hey! You guys mind!" Ghost-Spider shouted to the people around her, removing her hand from the wall to cover the undergarments that were peeking out from the view of the cameras.

Before Gwen could get a moment of peace, her Spider-Sense rang out again, and she heard one of the loudest booms she's ever heard in her life. Ghost-Spider had already moved her body out of the way by performing a backward somersault out of the way of something that had been launched toward her. Gwen stared down at the massive dust cloud that was below her; at first, she thought Jolyne might've thrown something at her, making use of the many loose bricks from the building she was on. But, as the dust cloud cleared, Gwen's eye widened at the sight of Jolyne herself floating just below her.

Using 「STONE FREE」's powerful legs, Jolyne had launched herself to the building across from her by kicking off the side of the brick building. Unfortunately, her target had moved out of the way. Jolyne smashed into the other building, creating another large crater, by shielding herself with 「STONE FREE」. The stand user looked up and came face-to-face with her opponent, whose half-masked face nearly touched her own. "Seems like you have a lot of fans." Jolyne remarked as she glanced around at all the people watching the fight.

"Yup, just the average life of your local superhero." Gwen responded, the lens on the right side of her mask shifting to show a tired expression that matched her real one on her exposed side. "You get a lot of attention. Sometimes you get more than you bargained for... Thanks for exposure, by the way!" the heroine sarcastically commented.

"Count your luck! I can always make it worse." Jolyne smirked with her retort. Before Gwen got a chance to respond back, her Spider-Sense went off at the same time she felt something crash into her left shoulder. Any spandex that was still left covering that area was now gone as Gwen was thrown up the buildings side from the impact. The superhero skidded to a stop as she used her powers to stick to the apartment's side. It then finally clicked for Gwen. Back when the two had their battle in the park, Gwen was just barely able to dodge or was completely unable to dodge Jolyne's attacks, and yet Gwen was able to dodge two attacks from her just now with ease, but was unable to keep the streak going with the latest blow dealt to her. Why was that? How come she couldn't dodge certain attacks coming from this "possessed" woman?
