Do a sleep study

"Ok. I'll wait for the results."
"Great. We'll be running tests for few hours, looking at your symptoms we'll do the blood tests and hormone levels. You can go to the cafeteria and eat something, might help with the anaemia. Otherwise just sit tight, relax, play some mobile games, or y'know study."
"Thank you. Will do."

With that the doctor left me in the room. I did as instructed and waited for the few hours for the results to show up. I ate the diner in the cafeteria and spent rest of my time playing some mobile games.

After few hours the doctor called me in to his office.

"Ok. So first of all I have to ask and sorry if it sounds rude - but were you born male? are you aware of any abnormalities before?"
I was shocked by that question but responded with a simple nod followed by a shake.
"The reason I ask is that besides a simple anaemia, your hormone levels are very abnormal, and would normally indicate hermaphroditism. The good news is that it's nothing life threatening and you're overall fine. We can try the estrogen suppressants and testosterone injections, or conversely suppress the testosterone and boost the estrogen. It's ok you know, there's no shame in that"

I was honestly shocked. I was always a guy.

"I never had any problems like that before few weeks ago! This is not normal for me!"
"I understand but I honestly never heard about a case like this, it's practically impossible for a man to have testosterone this low."
"I'm a man" I reaffirmed myself, but my voice broke into high pitch as if denying my words.

The doctor didn't seem to believe me much, but he did write a prescription.

"All right. You want to do a sleep study right? We have some spots open so you can stay tonight. Nurse will explain everything"

I leave the doctor's office distraught, but optimistic. Nurse instructs me on how the sleep study works, and basically I get to sleep in the hospital every night but still go to the classes every day. Just need to grab the books from home.
