Ditto

Word from Author: A few days ago, I Woke up to a ton of notifications, and BOOM we hit 100 likes on my branch. Once again, a big thank you for liking and commenting on my chapters <3
While writing this chapter we reached 103 likes :)

When you walk up to identify the Pokemon you see a pinkish-purple, amorphous blob. You pull out your Pokedex and scan it."Ditto, the transforming Pokemon. Its body is capable of taking on the DNA of whatever it sees, allowing it to transform into anything."

The Pokemon begins to transform into you. It's amazingly accurate, down to the brown hair and white skin. But the Ditto can't hold the transformation, and it starts to ripple and distort. "Ditto ditto ditto~" The Ditto runs away into the tall grass. "Hey! Come back." You yell as you chase the Ditto through the grass.

After a few minutes, you still haven't found the Ditto, but you're sure it hasn't escaped. "GO Buddy, help me find this Ditto." You release your Bulbasaur from its Pokeball to help you search for the Ditto. The Ditto must have heard you because it starts to run again. After chasing it for a few more minutes, you can finally see the Ditto stuck in a corner. But It transforms once again, this time into your Bulbasaur.

"I got you now Ditto." You say confidently. "BULBASAUR, Tackle!"

Bulbasaur charges at the Ditto, crashing into it, and knocking it over. Ditto stands up and begins to shoot razor leaves in all directions like a machine gun.

"Counter with your own Razor Leaf."

Bulbasaur shoots a barrage of razor leaves back at the Ditto. Both Pokemon are hit with a few leaves, but they keep shooting. Soon they are both covered in cuts and bruises, but they continue fighting.

"Bulbasaur, use your vines to attack the Ditto from behind."

Two vines shot out of Bulbasaur's back, wrapping around the Ditto."Now pull it towards you."

Bulbasaur pulled the Ditto close and began to swing it around. Bulbasaur throws the Ditto into a nearby tree, and it hits its head. The Ditto turns back into its pink-purple blob form. You take out a Pokeball from your bag and throw it at the Ditto. The Pokeball opens, sucking in the Ditto. It shakes once, twice, three times, and then the ball rattles once more. The ball stops shaking and a red light flashes. You've caught the Ditto."Great job Bulbasaur."

You say as you recall Bulbasaur to its Pokeball. You walk over to pick up the Pokeball containing Ditto. "I think I'm gonna call you Ditty." You say as you pet the Pokeball. "Yep, that sounds right."

You look up at the sun and notice that it’s already high in the sky. "Well, I better get moving." You say as you continue your journey to Viridian City. You pull out your Pokedex and you see a notification on your trainer card and you click on the app. You see both Bulbasaur and Ditto are registered on it, but you still need to enter your data and upload a picture.
You walk to a nearby rock to place your Pokedex there and set the self timer to 10 seconds before posing for the picture.

You pick up your Pokedex to see another notification.

Data synced

You open the Pokefans app to check if your profile was updated. And in fact, it did update itself with your data and the picture you just took. You're about to close the app again but you stop.

Maybe I can use this app to find Silver and the others. You look for profiles of Kai and Ray but none of the profiles look like your old pals. When you look for Silver's profile you come across an almost empty page with no profile picture. He hasn't posted anything himself but a guy named @EthanGold tagged him in a few pictures.

Day 1 and already made a new friend.

Day 5 Time to challenge the first gym. LET'S GO!!! #firstgym

You can't help but smile as you look at the pictures of your old friend. You think about sending him a message but you hear someone yelling from behind.
"WAIT! I challenge you to a battle."

You turn around to see a blonde-haired youngster, probably a bit younger than you, running towards you. Ah, crap.

Edit: The side I used to upload my pics terminated my account for violations of terms and/or claims of copyright infringement, even though everything was set to private. Gonna reupload them to somewhere else and fix the chapters in the next few days.
