What's next?
Distraction?
"Distraction?" Ethan asks, going for the second thread.
After a moment, and a very deep sigh, Layla answers the question. "Ethan. I'm a forty-two year old empty nester. I've lived in the same tiny town my whole life. I barely get out, and I never meet new people." Shrugging, Layla lets those points air for a moment before getting to her point. "Talking to somebody, well, new, was a change of pace I needed more of."
"I see..." Ethan rubs his chin slightly, not having considered that angle.
"Talking to her is just..." Layla smacks her lips slightly, and shifts her gaze. Suddenly, she seems to be looking intently at Ethan. "Well, it's almost as good as talking to you."
"Me?" Ethan shifts under the weight of her gaze. "Why's that?"
"Suppose not..." Ethan thinks about it, not really having a better answer. "But why would you even want that?"
"Really?" Layla frowns, giving Ethan a very unimpressed look. "{if Layla Sex=true}You can't figure out why even after the other night?{elseif}Maybe I haven't made it obvious enough, but surely you have a guess.{endif}"
Swallowing, Ethan gets the picture. His eyes flick down from Layla's face to her chest{if Gay >3}, then wander further down towards her crotch{endif}. He couldn't hide his attraction to her. Returning his eyes to her face, he notices her gaze has dropped. Her blue orbs wander, and Ethan suddenly feels just how mutual the attraction is.
A few tense seconds pass and her gaze returns to Ethan's face as well. Overwhelming desire radiates from her stare, and Ethan notes her slide slightly closer on the couch.
Ethan can tell where this is going, but the topic at hand is yet to be finished. If he doesn't speak up now, it will certainly be left to the wayside and forgotten.
If he wants to properly get to the bottom of this, he needs to press the issue.
