Disheveled and quiet

Jared was able to get a lot of the pressing matters out of the way while Rebecca was off getting her ass handed to her. He was even able to come up with a quick way to get Rebecca caught up with the processes he needed her to be familiar with, especially if she was going to be of any use to him.

Jared looked at the time and was surprised to see that 45 minutes had passed. He now wished he was present for that meeting. What could Aileen be using as ****? And what could be so bad that it would make someone as fiery as Rebecca remain cooperative for the next two months? He tried not to think to long about it and got back to work. He was making good progress on his workload, and even with the training he had planned for Rebecca, he was on track to leave work at a good time.

He heard heels making their way toward the creative department. As he assumed, it was Rebecca returning from her lengthy meeting with Aileen. The teen that sat at her desk was a shell of her former self. She was sporting a thousand-yard stare, and her eyes revealed signs of recent crying. At that very moment, she shot a glance over at Jared, and they briefly locked eyes. Jared realized he was smirking unintentionally, and Rebecca quickly withdrew her gaze while adjusting her dress. Jared hadn't noticed it before, but now that they were both sitting at their desks, he had the perfect view of Rebecca's legs and, if he was lucky, her more private areas. He wondered if Aileen had purposefully assigned her that seat, and thought about how perverted his boss was starting to appear.

Jared wrapped up his pressing tasks and made his way over to Rebecca, who was practically cowering upon his approach.

"Okay, it's time I show you the ropes," he stated.

Rebecca's eyes grew wide with horror, and Jared realized she misunderstood him. Laughing on the inside, he decided not to clear the air, and instead pulled up a chair next to her at her desk and began walking through her new day-to-day duties.

Over the course of the next hour or so, Jared explained everything Rebecca would need to know in order to be a successful intern in his department. She seemed to be opening up a bit more and even showed interest in a few of the processes. However, it became very clear to Jared that Rebecca would eventually try to change those processes as she saw fit. He thought he might as well cross that bridge when he gets there, but decided this was a good time to get everything out in the open between them.

"That's about everything, but please follow me to the conference room so I can go over some of the more... delicate rules I'll have in place for you." Jared said with a wicked smile akin to the one Rebecca's mother had recently given him.

Jared swore he heard a gulp as they both stood and walked the short distance to the creative department conference room.
