Discuss the kiss

"So about that kiss?" I questioned. It was a thought that had been plaguing my mind. "Was it necessary to avoid any confrontation?" I questioned. "Couldn't you have just warned me?" I trailed off.

"He would have heard." She explained. "He has sharp hearing. Not to mention, he was moving towards us quickly, no doubt he followed my scent." She explained. "It would have taken too long to explain and it would have risked him hearing us."

"But a kiss? Aren't kisses...well a show of love and affection?" I wondered.

"To some," Lilith explained. "But for me, well I've use it many times to catch my prey." She told you. "Haven't you heard the stories?"

"Oh," I whispered. Lilith was essentially a succubus from what understood. At least that's what she would be called in my old world. Here they just called her the Demon Lord or the Demon Goddess. She was powerful but she was also infamous for exploiting the lustful desires of many who may have challenged her on top of her monstrous strength.

"You sound disappointed." Lilith inquired as she looked at you. I could feel her eyes assessing me, just like back home.

"I just...well...I," I wasn't sure how to phrase my words properly to her. "It's just that I thought it meant something else." I explained.

"I kissed you, because you are one of the most important people in both my lives, and I want you to be safe." She assured me. "I may not be human but I still know how humans think and feel." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "Believe me, when I tell you, it meant more than the world to me."

"Thanks," I told her. "That means a lot."

"It was still just kiss." Lilith told me. "Even if it means a lot, its a relatively simple action."

"Yeah...but I...well I never kissed anyone." I blushed. "It was kind of my first time and well."

"Oh," she realized. "Wait....really," she wondered. "But I thought..."

"Yeah....I tried. Good lord I tried. I have pined for quite a lot of girls since you passed. I never got beyond simply talking and chatting with them." I told her. "Most of them probably didn't find me appealing, either."

"Sorry to hear that," Lilith spoke. "I guess I..."

"No...don't apolgize. You didn't know." I assured her. "Besides...now that I think about it if I had to kiss any girl, I'm glad it was you." I told her. I saw her eyes widened as she stared at me.

It took me a few second to register what I had just said. "Did I say that out loud?" I asked.

"Yep," Lilith smirked as she stared at me. "You know...I've kissed a lot of humans and some non humans as well and none of them could compare to you." She told me.

"Somehow I doubt it." I told her. "I'm sure others must have been." She cut me off with another kiss. This one wasn't forceful like before. It was more tender, more personal, more intimate.

Slowly she pulled back. "No," she whispered. "They weren't." She told me. "Every other time, its never been like this."

"Lilith." I whispered.

"They are all blank faces to me." She told me. "Every single one of them. I never cared for, nor did they truly cared for me." She continued. "They lust for me body and the covet my power but that's it."

"Well...I care for you." I told her as I held her hand. "Doesn't matter how you look or what power you wield."

"I know." She smiled as she wrapped her arms around me. "I'm glad I found you again." She kissed me once more.
