“Now, James I just want to say that no one blames you for the shuttle crash,” Supervisor Geoff explained once you arrived in the conference room and got settled with your girls.

“Based on the logs and the environmental factors, it appears you did everything reasonable given your unforeseen situation,” ‘Kate Beckett’ the investigator said as she reviewed her files. “You followed the proper procedure and then organized your safe return that most likely would have worked if no rescue had come.”

“So what happens now?” Mirajane asked.

“Unfortunately for you James, you have a situation,” Batman said as he approached from the shadows.

“What do you mean? They just said I did everything right?” You gave him a confused look while wishing to be out the door already.

“While you were missing, I conducted an investigation in conjunction with Rein Corp’s security to determine if anything on Prime Earth could have caused your disappearance,” Batman explained. “Your family provided your little book of grudges.”

“Oh god,” you groan thinking of all the silly reasons you’ve put people in that book for. Just to list a few, you remember the guy who stole Gaige’s cyborg arm for a youtube video, you also remember the lady who refused to give you churros until you could ask in spanish and made a big commotion about it, and the guy who crashed his car in your pool due to taking head while driving. You’re still waiting for the settlement money from that last one.

“We found some surveillance video and along with Batman’s investigation, we found that someone had sabotaged the shuttle,” ‘Kate Beckett’ explained. “The inspectors on the ship were able to confirm that sabotage had been done.”

“Who would want to hurt me?”

“We cannot tell you as the investigation is ongoing but what we can tell you is that someone was able to use a mind control device to **** the office’s Andy to mess with the shuttle,” Batman explained carefully. “Thanks to the inspection of the shuttle so far, we can confirm that he was not hiding some Easter Eggs almost a year early like he claimed.”

“Wait, is that why I didn’t see him at the party? He’s detained?” You asked shocked that you hadn’t even realized Andy wasn’t there until now. Supervisor Geoff gave you a nod.

“So what do we do?” Diana asked them, her face locked in a serious expression as she clenched her fist.

“Corporate recommends heading home and only coming out with guard characters and maybe increasing your security,” Supervisor Geoff replied. “I know your wedding is coming up. I have already authorized your leave starting early.”

“I’ll be posting some PWBI personnel on surveillance, they should be arriving later tonight,” Batman said before nodding at Mirajane. “We will also check on what you claimed earlier. We are just waiting on a reason for a search warrant.”

“Okay…” Mirajane said while you thought of how much longer you will be stuck with Phil as your neighbor.

“Now that that is out of the way,” Supervisor Geoff said as he clapped his hands. “How about we talk about compensation as the incident was during your shift.”

“I’ll rather have my lawyer take care of that, I don’t think I can make a reasonable argument right now,” you said as you were reminded of Larry’s suggestion.

“And that’s your right,” Supervisor Geoff replied. “I was just going to suggest coming in in a few days to discuss how to make things right between you and the company.” And their contracts with 3S and Inhuman Generics, you thought. “And of course, your claim of this Ranko and Mirajane has already been processed and completed.”

“And what about the ones who worked on the shuttle?” You ask, as you suspect that someone had made sure Ranko and Mirajane were set in your account already.

“They’re being kept as witnesses and evidence characters for now, you’ll be able to take them home as your salvage including the Kiva when the investigation is officially concluded,” ‘Kate Beckett’ explained. “They’ll be kept in the special reserved dorms until then.”

“Okay, thank you,” you replied, a bit disappointed the others couldn’t go home with you yet. At least, Ranko and Mirajane can go with you.

“Also the bunnygirl Yunyun was also cleared so if you want to take her home now, you can,” Supervisor Geoff said.

“Who?” You ask, not recalling a Yunyun being involved in the fight.

“Well, how are we going to do this?” You ask as you stood by your car with Diana, Gogo, Ranko, Mirajane, and Yunyun. Apparently Yunyun from Konosuba was one of the characters who took care of you after the first orgy in the tribe and had apparently survived the fight in Femputer’s throne room/cafeteria by hiding behind Captain Marvel’s energy shield. She had also showed no signs of whatever Rein Corp quarantined the others for.

The reason why your boss and Rein Corp didn’t charge you for Ranko, Mirajane, and Yunyun was because apparently when you announced that you were claiming them, someone interpreted it as salvaging them. And so any of the tribe members who didn’t require a character capture device, Rein Corp transport, nor needed quarantine were made essentially yours to take. Though there was some ambiguity there so you weren’t sure which ones counted or not.

At the moment you just wanted to get home to your Starfire and Aelita and the rest of the harem as fast as possible. You just needed to find out how to pack your characters so everyone can get home safely.

“I’m sorry I’m causing so much trouble,” Yunyun apologized tearfully.

“No, it’s no trouble at all,” Diana reassured her.

“Hmm, Ranko and Gogo are a bit more petite, maybe they can share?” Mirajane suggested. Ranko was busy going through katas and moving around the parking lot. On your way to pick up Yunyun, you had stopped by the restoration lab and called in a favor to get the Ultimate Weakness Moxibustion reversed and she has been practicing her techniques and freed strength ever since.

“Yeah, I’m not sitting with Miss Jumpy over here,” Gogo said.

“It does have a character storage belt but I’ve never used it before,” you say out loud.

“I can show you!” Yunyun eagerly opened the trunk and after hesitating for a second due to all the junk you kept back there, she climbed in and easily strapped herself in. “See! I’ll be perfectly safe!”

“Let us know if you need anything, okay?” You say as your mental fatigue from your day was catching up with you. You got in the car and started it up.

“Are you sure she will be fine back there?” Diana asked concerned.

“Probably, this car has one of the highest ratings for character safety features in its class,” you reassured her. There was a reason why your parents recommended it to you. Soon, all of your girls currently in your possession were in a seat and you were pulling out of the parking lot and passing the guard post. You were let out fairly quickly by the security guard, a Mikasa from Attack on Titan. You briefly wondered how Clover was and wondered if she would be up for a fuck session after your honeymoon.

It was a fairly uneventful drive home, though you did spot some 3S and IG escort vehicles following you home. It didn’t feel long but soon you were turning the corner to your street and was halfway up the road when you saw something.

“Oh what the hell!” You shouted as you saw that the front of your house was filled with holes and part of the place had partially collapsed. You quickly parked in your surprising empty driveway and got out of your car just as two forms dove out of the last remaining streetside window.

“No! I’m not going back!” Shouted a Blackfire in a metal bikini as she lashed out while fighting Valkyrie.

“No one’s going to send you back sister!” Starfire said as she flew out of the window and tried calming Blackfire down. Several of the Asari Commandos climbed out of any available hole and surrounded Blackfire. Erza appeared from the front door wearing an armored version of a metal bikini along with Laura with a slowly healing broken arm.

“What’s going on here?” You demanded as you approached though one of the Asari, Nuelssa you thought, stopped you.

“Oh my beloved James! You have returned!” Starfire said as she took her eyes off Blackfire. Which proved a mistake as Blackfire flew at her in a panicked frenzy. The Asari commandos immediately reacted and locked Blackfire in a biotic stasis. You waved a hand at your front yard garden and a small blue flower grew towards Blackfire’s stasis bubble and blew pollen in her face. Blackfire struggled against the stasis but slowly but sure her struggles lessened and she soon passed out.

“What happened?” You asked before pausing at the sight of Starfire.You always were attracted to her, but now that she is not in her chrysalis, you noticed that as she flew, her hair gained a fiery effect at the ends. “T’Vas was supposed to take her to panic room.” Valkyrie replied with a frown.

“Then let's go down and join her, I don’t think the surface house is that great for a reunion,” you comment as some floorboards fall down. “This is going to fuck up our budget.”

“We have a budget?” Laura asked as the harem were carefully moving debris around to clear a way to the panic room.

“Hey? Is anyone out there?” Yunyun called from inside the trunk. “I felt the car stop. I would let myself out but there’s something jamming the lock. Hello?”
