Discretion is the better part of valour.

But no. Your plan was too carefully crafted, during far too long a time, for you to take unnecessary risk.

You see her stealing a quick glance at you, her big innocent blue eyes widening in fear for a second. Did she sense your intents? You remember to be careful to conceal your powers around her.

You two walk in silence until you reach the double door leading to the throne room. Before going in, the mage turns to you and says in a voice that sounds young, but full of determination,

“Do not think that your status as a noble will give you any leniency from me. There is something off about you, and you can be sure I'll keep an eye out if you try anything foolish.”

She doesn't wait for an answer and pushes open the humongous oak door.

You follow after her.
