Disclaimer and info

“If he won’t write, then all I’ve gotta do is write it myself!”

Does that phrase means something? Is it, perhaps, indicative that I’m motivated to write this because another story is not getting written? Is it meant to motivate the writer of the other story? Do I hate that writer? Am I doing good?

Those questions will be answered… right now! Yes, no, no, fine, thanks, and how are you doing good sir?

This branch of normality comes from a few ideas I’ve had since a long, long time ago. Ideas of things I’ve always wanted to see but lacked the motivation to actually write, if that makes any sense. So, in this regard, yes, seeing a story I read not get updated does serve as motivation, but more in the sense that making it clear that if I want to see a particular story, I better write it myself. In this context, normality adapts well to my idea.

Since I had no particular idea for the beginning of the story, taking a real-life context into it worked to set up the story, especially since I wanted to present some One Piece nerds as main characters. That said, it is a individual things and though I doubt anyone will see it as a “jab” at anything, let me be perfectly clear in this: this start was only meant to set up characters and be funny, I do not have anything against anyone or any story and this is simply made to be enjoyed on its own, not related to anything else. We cool? We cool.

In my branch of story, expect a lot less “sexy” and a lot more “nerdy shit”. While I can and will at times write sexy stuff, my main focus here is writing a funny adventure with likeable characters in the world of One Piece. Sex will play a part, of course, but it is not the main thing, so you can expect to see plenty of chapters without sex scenes.

Of course, the phrase works for me too. This is a CHYOA, so it should go without saying, but I encourage any who wishes to write their own branches of the story. Characters or concepts are not mine and I claim no ownership of them, so do as you will. My branch will always be my branch, written the way I want it to be written, but whatever anyone else does with their own branches doesn’t bother me in the least. I only ask that you don’t ask me to write something you want to be written. Be it me or anyone else, I hope we can all have a fun time writing the stories that come to our mind.

Now, I have a job, write another original story in my free time and English is not my first language as you may all have guessed, so my branch may take some time between updates. I’ll try to give any who are reading it at least one new chapter by week, however, but no promises.
