Chapter 8 by serpent3000 serpent3000

What's next?

Dinner

You woke up in bed expecting to find the comforting warmth of Rebecca, but to your disappointment, she’d already gone. She had, however, left a note on your bed.

Thanks for a lovely time together! It’s rather fortunate you hadn’t had any classes left, isn’t it? You and I were both pretty drained after our romp. I did have to sneak away, unfortunately, as I had some duties to attend to. If you wake up before tomorrow, there’s always a start of year party held in the Moon Garden that you might be interested in attending.

Love,

Rebecca Dove

You raised an eyebrow at the signature, but smiled at the sentiment of the note. You checked the clock on your nightstand and saw that it was only just now 8, which probably meant you had plenty of time to locate this Moon Garden and attend the party there. Hopefully it would just be a normal party and nothing insane would happen to you… but you were beginning to wonder if insanity was your new normal.

In your first day here, you’d already been sorted into a house that hadn’t existed before you, gotten a max score on the magical aptitude test, taken a Soul Walk, learned you had the Spirit affinity (first one ever), and then learned you had some crazy prodigy skills with psionics. Oh yeah, and not to mention you fucked your professor.

You climbed out of bed and gathered some freshly laundered clothes from the nightstand and closet, then hopped in the shower to get rid of the scent of sex and also the flowery scent of Rebecca, which had clung to you.

Smelling clean and wearing clean clothes, you made your way back into the Chimera common room area and headed out the door into a hallway.

Fortunately, you heard a ton of voices talking and laughing down to your left, so you followed them.

You emerged into the Grand Hall, where orientation had been held, but now it seemed to be a large cafeteria, with circular tables everywhere and students sitting at those tables eating trays of food. The food looked much better than an average cafeteria though, it looked damn near gourmet.

You tried to scan the cafeteria for a sight of the three girls you knew, Harmony, Rose, and Alissa, but couldn’t locate any of them, which was disappointing. The Grand Hall was also quite a menagerie now, with all the second year students’ Familiars around. It seemed that they had yet to be taught how to turn them into a tattoo. Nor had they had one of their professors do it right before sex.

You also noticed a lot of the tables were masses of the same House pin. Not a whole lot of inter-house seating. You went to collect your tray rather sadly, and plopped down in an empty table in the corner, your Chimera pin lonely.

To your surprise though, you were joined by two people you didn’t recognize.

“Hi, I’m Keira.” the girl said with a wink. She was a pretty, slender brunette with shoulder length chestnut brown hair and a medium sized bust. She had some fit curves to her body, and a perky ass.

“Liam.” said the guy, and he gave a warm smile.

Both students bore a Wyvern pin, and seemed to be third year students.

“Luke.” you introduced yourself.

“Saw you sitting over here alone, and we can’t have that happen, can we?” Keira smiled warmly at you.

“Well, thanks guys. Everyone seems to be mostly sitting by House, and I’m the only one in Chimera.” you said a bit sadly.

“There’s a lot of really friendly people here who don’t care what pin you have on your chest.” Liam said, “Are you coming to the Moon Garden in a few hours?”

“I heard about it, and I planned to go, yeah.” you nodded.

“Perfect.” Keira enthused, “I’ll make sure I take good care of you there.”

“There you are!” a voice exclaimed, and you turned to see Alissa coming towards you with a tray and her white wolf pup on her heels.

She plopped down right beside you, and you gave the busty brunette a smile.

“You’re already friends with Alissa Tamson?” Keira raised her eyebrows with surprise.

“I only have 3 people I’ve really talked to. Well, five now, I guess.” you shrugged.

“Who’s the other two you’ve talked to?” Liam asked curiously.

“Harmony Ashcroft and Rose Wester.” you answered.

“Got a thing for top-heavy girls?” Keira questioned, making Alissa’s cheeks flush dark red.

“No! Well, uh, I mean- the girls I’ve talked to were happenstance. I didn’t like, single them out for any reason.” you tried to explain.

Keira giggled at your reaction, and Liam was clearly trying not to laugh.

“I know a few girls who’d meet your criteria.” Keira snorted, “I’ll make sure you meet a few of them at the Garden tonight.”

“Oh, you’re going to the Garden?” Alissa asked you, cheeks still rosy but obviously trying to move the conversation away from your ALLEGED fondness for busty women.

“Yeah, I am.” you nodded.

“Great. I’ll see you there.” Alissa smiled adorably.

Despite her incredibly sexy body, Alissa was just adorable. Far from a sexy seductress like you suspected Keira might be.

“Oh, my sister is calling me, I have to go.” Alissa realized suddenly, and she was up like a shot.

“Did she say sister?” you frowned.

“Oh that’s right, you’re new here. Guess you haven’t heard the legends of Skye Tamson.” Keira chuckled.

“If you thought Alissa was busty… wait until you see Skye.” Liam chuckled.

“She’s a fourth year student here. She’s a Head of House Pegasus, and there’s some rumors that she’s fucking Alec Kyrie.” Keira gossiped.

“I recognize the last name, but I’ve never seen Alec before, I don’t think.” you said.

“He’s a second year like you. Buzzed red hair, muscular build.” Liam said. Your eyes widened in memory.

“Oh, I do know that guy! He summoned a tiger Familiar.” you recalled. He’d summoned his between the petite girl with the enticing violet eyes and Alissa.

“Probably did. He’s a Pegasus, and has Skye fawning all over him. Never spoke to the guy, but I’ve heard some rumors that he wants Alissa next.” Liam stage whispered.

“Look at that scowl. Our little Chimera’s all jealous.” Keira laughed delightedly.

The two Wyverns grinned at you, and you sighed. You hadn’t even realized you were scowling.

“So, who all is part of the High Four here? Other than Harmony and Alec.” you asked, though that list should have ended with ‘and me’.

“Well, Alec has an elder sister in our year. She’s Pegasus, of course. Sydney Kyrie.” Keira counted on her fingers.

“There’s the headmaster’s granddaughter Lindsey Hallgrave, and she’s Cerberus.” Liam recalled, “She’s a second year this year, like you, Luke.”

“How many years are there?” you wondered.

“Four.” Keira answered.

“Oh, really? I had seven in my head for some reason.” you said with a shrug.

“But yeah, Harmony, Alec, Sydney, Lindsey… oh, and Mira Eldric of course. She’s a first year this year.” Liam answered.

“One of those little eighteen year olds.” Keira agreed.

“Doesn’t Mira have a twin brother?” Liam thought, tapping his chin, “Michael, maybe?”

“Could be Michael.” Keira agreed.

“We don’t know first years very well… even if they are in Wyvern house.” Liam chuckled.

“I don’t suppose there’s any chance Harmony has a sexy sister?” you asked jokingly. You were stunned when Liam nodded.

“Yeah, Helene Ashcroft. She graduated last year, though.” Liam said.

“Seriously?” you asked. Liam and Keira both nodded.
