Dinner with the hosts

Ezra and Eva were amazing hosts and they talked and talked dring the whole dinner. The were talking about school and what is expected from young teacher like Katie. They talked about their life and how they never had children but were always engaged in community and working with kids especially in places like south side of Chicago.

Katie talked about her own upbringing and her life in Rosewood. She was your stereotypical small town girl and both Ezra and Eva knew that they will have to guide you through this transition. They both knew that she is not used to multi cultural environment and that this will be her big issue. You see Katie never spend a day surrounded with black people and now she is going to live in predominantly black neighbourhood and teach at almost all black school. There is certainly a lot of things that she will have to get used to.

Dinner was great and after couple of glasses of wine Katie started to talk about her boyfriend and how she is scared that their relationship will not work. Ezra listened carefully while Eva was more engaged in this conversation.

"Long distance relationships are hard and you're still young, maybe you should take a break from that relationship and focus on your life here" Eva said.

"I'm not sure, I mean I love Brian and I really want this thing to work" Katie said.

"I'm sure you do but I'm just saying that you should focus on things going on here, you'll see that after few weeks you will think differently"

After some time and after some more glasses of delicious red wine Katie decided to retire. She said goodnight to her hosts and retired to her appartment.

Eva said "Ezra, local boys here will absolutely love her"

"They sure will" and both laughed at that.
