In one world, Maia Simmons dies after a idiotic decision fueled by fear and desperation gets her on the bad side of a 300 foot tall gorilla.

Instead, this is a world where Maia makes a different choice. In this world, instead of ordering her pilot to fire upon Kong. Maia ordered the pilot to go around Kong, thus avoiding the wrath of the Eighth Wonder and avoiding any untimely and allowing her to escape through the hole Godzilla made into the hollow Earth.

In this world, Maria Simmons escaped.
