Dianna's room/Meeting of the minds

Amy, Dianna and Betty were all seated around the living room of Dianna's single bedroom. She was one of the only people in the entire sorority that didn't have any roommates. Dianna had her laptop connected to the TV as news updates refreshed on occasion.

"So what do you two know? How bad is this going to be?", Amy asked.

Dianna bit her lip, "I looked up quite a few posts throughout the day and it seems like a lot of them are being taken down almost immediately after they're posted. The **** company that's responsible for the compound says that the only way we can be impacted is if we're exposed to the Lotion directly. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. I saw a few posts from people that said they never applied any Lotion and they're experiencing symptoms... They almost seemed happy about it." Dianna said wistfully.

"Stay focused.", Betty reminded her.

"Right! Sorry! Anyways, they said they were working on an Antigen to counteract the effects. That could take months, maybe even years. They're encouraging distancing and isolation from those that have been impacted. The biggest kicker, the X'ers have these pheromones that apparently make you insanely horny. They use that to try to increase their numbers. They'll offer the Lotion to anyone that's interested and they seem to be hyper fixated on sex.", Dianna explained.

"So they're like sex zombies?", Amy asked skeptically.

Betty raised a brow, "I mean I guess so. Whatever it is, it's spreading around us fast. I think it's safe to say Vicky and Claire are both compromised. Alpha Phi isn't safe based on the party exposure. To make things even worse, the head of Fraternity and Sorority life is also probably exposed based on what her secretary Erin said."

"Then what do we do? We can't stay here, at least not permanently.", Dianna said.

"There a few options. We could leave campus and try to get help from the military. They're setting up controlled zones to help people isolate. If we do that, they'll interrogate us about where we're coming from and who we've interacted with. That could get us locked up, but we'd probably be safe. Option two, we leave campus and we stay somewhere else off campus. Friends apartments, things like that where we can hoard food and wait it out. The last option would be to give up.", Betty said.

Dianna looked at her in shock, "What do you mean by give up? You can't seriously be suggesting that we join them."

Amy shrugged, "Obviously it's not a great choice, but if there isn't a cure and it keeps spreading, the outcome is obvious. We'll be exposed or succumb to the pheromones and we'll eventually succumb. Isn't that right?"

Betty nodded, "I personally don't want to be a sex zombie for the rest of my life, but I can see how that might seem impossible given the current circumstances."

"I'm not just going to give up! My sister has a house on the edge of the county. We could go to her place and stay there. We'd be far enough where it would buy plenty of time.", Dianna said.

"I can work with that. I get the pheromone thing after seeing Vicky, if I stay here I'll just end up joining them and like Betty said, I don't really want to become a sex zombie either", Amy replied.

"Then it's settled, let's plan on leaving here tomorrow. I don't think anyone's going to break down our door.", Betty said.

"Can we watch a movie or a show or something. I'd rather not spend anymore time thinking about this than I already have.", Dianna suggested.

"Sure, but can I take a shower and stuff first? I kind of forgot to do that before I ran out of my room.", Amy asked.

Dianna nodded, "There should be clean towels under the sink."
