Devi Singh (Late Twenties)

Jonathan checked the security camera. He could see the ravenhair of a woman in her late twenties wearing a conservative suit. He pressed the intercom button, "You may come up, Miss Singh. Follow the directions you were provided with." She looked around trying to see the camera, until her eyes looked directly into it. Good, he thought, she's not dumb bimbo.

The camera did not do Devi justice. Jonathan saw she was trying to be as professional as possible. Her suit was just ever so slightly baggy, not tight enough to show her figure. But her eyes were an enticing amber."Thank you for this opportunity, Mr. Taylor," Devi said, shaking his hand.

"No thanks necessary," Jonathan said, "Your resume was everything I was looking for. This interview is to figure out how good of a cultural fit you might be. Please, have a seat."

Jonathan sat behind his desk as Devi scooted into a less impressive chair in front of him.

"Maybe we should start with something personal," Jonathan started, "What do you like to do as a hobby outside of work?"

Devi smiled, "I'm a bit of a nerd... reading books, watching movies ... you know."

"Don't feel nervous," Jonathan said chuckling, "I already know you are well organized and intelligent."

"Good!" She said, her rigid posture relaxing slightly. "I grew up in a small town in the suburbs. There weren't a lot of people who liked what I liked."

"And that is?"

"Theater, acting mainly. I tried doing some in college, but my parents sent me to business school and the theater program was underfunded to say the least."

Jonathan smiled at that, she had a bit of rebel in her. At the very least she didn't agree with her parents. He could relate. He focused back on the interview, "Do you have anything about yourself that you'd wish to change?"

Devi cocked her head, "In what way?"

"I guess the question could be worded, what is your greatest weakness that you wish was not there?"

"I guess... Sometimes I wish I could trust people more."

"Why is that?"

"You know how some people think they can only get things done if they do it on their own? That's me a lot of the time."

"Do you think this job will help you trust more?"

"I hope so," Devi said making eye contact for the first time, "Do you have that problem, Mr. Taylor?"

"Maybe you will find out, Miss Devi," he said reaching out his hand, "I think it is safe to say you have this position as my personal assistant."

She accepted the handshake, "Thank you so much!"
