Chapter 28

What will happen at this critical moment?
Despite hopelessness and pain, you, with the courage of despair, continue to fight the monster.
Among all the rubbish from which the militiamen built the barricade that previously blocked the door to the inn, you notice a small thing...
This is a small hanging lamp that emits a faint light.
This lamp was probably attached to the wall of the inn and fell during the bustle and confusion during the barricading of the entrances to this building and the windows.
Now this lamp lies on the wooden floor between a fallen cabinet and a large oak table. Because of this, the lamp is quite difficult to notice. But you see this lamp because you are lying on the floor.
You don't have much time.
Very little time.
You act based on your quick hunting reflexes and intuition.
You immediately grab your combat bow in your right hand. It's good that your combat bow fell next to you.
As the huge silhouette of your enemy approaches you with the obvious intention of crushing your wounded body, you make a quick roll to the left side along the wooden floor.
The monster’s foot powerfully hits the place where your body was lying a second earlier. He intended to simply crush your throat.
You barely managed to avoid ****...
During this movement of rolling on your back on the floor, you grab the lamp with your left hand, which was lying next to you on the floor.
You quickly throw this lamp right into the vile face of the white-haired werewolf.
The glass of the lamp comes into contact with large sharp fangs...
The glass of the lamp breaks into pieces, which are stuck into the monster's flesh.
Of course, for a werewolf these are just minor scratches.
More importantly, this lamp used some type of flammable oil.
Splashes of flammable oil spread over the monster's body.
The weak fire that burned in the lamp comes into contact with the flammable oil that has spread over the monster’s body.
The fire breaks out with unexpected ****!
The white fur on the chest and face of the werewolf ignites!
The monster lets out a frantic howl due to pain.
The flame continues to burn the body of the monster, which randomly swings its arms, delivering powerful blows with its claws.
However, due to the pain from the burns and the flames that burn his white fur, the werewolf has difficulty seeing the target of his attacks.
Sharp and long claws hit objects that lie on the floor. The claws easily break a large oak table. The claws smash a couple of large wooden boxes into small pieces. With one strike, the claws pierce the wooden floor at a distance of only about twenty centimeters from your head.
You decide to take advantage of the moment when your enemy is disoriented.
You quickly get to your feet and run towards the opposite wall of the room, taking an arrow from your quiver as you go.
Turning around, you see how your enemy, whose chest and face is engulfed in flames, continues to growl and howl loudly, waving his powerful muscular arms.
You fire a quick shot from your war bow.
The arrow pierces the enemy's chest. Now, in addition to the burn from the flames, your enemy will feel pain from the silver-plated arrowhead that pierced his flesh.
You're getting ready to take another shot...
However, you didn't take into account something...
Despite his vision being difficult due to the flames, your enemy understood your approximate location based on the direction from which the arrow arrived and pierced his chest.
A furious, evil werewolf, whose chest and face are engulfed in flames, is rapidly rushing towards you...
Because of the wounds, the monster moves slower, but you are also seriously injured. Therefore, you do not have time to evade the monster’s trajectory.
The massive and heavy body of the monster hits a wooden wall at high speed. A series of blows of his claws on a wooden wall causes a destructive effect: the wall is broken through, fragments of wooden boards fly off in different directions. The large hole in the wall of the inn is slightly smaller than a regular door.
You bend down to prevent the claws from hitting your body.
However, a powerful kick from the monster knocks you back.
Your body falls through a hole in the wall.
Now you are lying in the snow outside the inn building.
You feel more and more pain.
The monster's kick probably broke a couple of your ribs.
Your blurred vision can barely distinguish the objects of the surrounding reality.
A large silhouette moves in your direction. The upper part of this silhouette is engulfed in flames.
Werewolf!
You instinctively reach forward with your right hand, which holds your warbow.
Quick claw strike!
Your war bow has been cut in half.
Now they are just useless pieces of wood.
You were just lucky that the blow of the claws did not hit your hand (otherwise, at a minimum, your right palm would now be a severed piece of bleeding meat).
The large silhouette of the monster continues to inexorably approach you.
The swift blows of the claws do not yet touch your body only because your enemy cannot see well because of the flames, and you are lying powerless in the snow.
You act reflexively, overcoming the pain of numerous wounds and bruises. Your left hand grabs your small steel ax with a silver plated blade.
You put all your remaining strength into one powerful throw with a thrown weapon.
Your ax flies towards the werewolf silhouette.
The heartbreaking, furious howl of pain that the monster emits stuns you.
You no longer see the result of your last attack.
Due to large blood loss, you lose consciousness.
Will you regain consciousness after this brutal battle with the werewolf?
