Departure

The next several days mostly consisted of recooperating so that an organized effort to do everything possible would be established. Liara used her contacts to get much need supplies shipped to different parts of the galaxy.

It isn't until a week later that Admiral Hackett approaches Liara in the clock tower, Big Ben, where she had set up a temporary headquarters, as it easily overlooked hundreds of miles worth of city and country side, and offered the best chance for QEC connections.

"We need you to get on board the Normandy and head to Lazarus station.. We sent Miss Lawson with Shepard and the mech on ahead, but they went dark as soon as they arrived." Hackett delivers the news as he always has: Grimly.

"No contact.? Was there a distress signal or coded message?" Liara asked as she begun to pack a few things.

"Nothing. It's almost as if they entered that secion of space and disappeared.. The worst case scenario, is that the sation was so far from a relay, they have no way of coming back or contacting. But we are sending the Normandy in to make sure the facility is secure and that Shepard got there safely."

Liara only nods as she rushes down the tower, practically running to the Normandy, which had been 'parked' nearby, since most of rhe buildings were rubble the giant airship had no trouble find areas to get close to the ground.

As she boarded, she was greeted by Ashley and Jack who helped bring her bags aboard.

"Well, look who finally decided to show up out of the blue." Joker's voice cracks ocer the com as he attempts a poorly executed pun.

"Keep it up Joker and I'll squeeze your balls till they're blue." Jack smirked as she walked up thriugh the cargo hold. "Jeez.. Someone shit the rubble this morning." Joker muttered quietly, unawares that he had left the comm open where EDI would normally have cloaed it.

"Just get us to the last relay so we can help Miranda and Shepard, Joker." And with that, Liara headed up to the CIC to plot the course before finally gettng settled in to her CO quarters.
