Department store it is!

Emily didn't need to think long before she decided to go into the department store. She could easily lose the guy following her in there. She darted inside, finding the video game section and crouching behind a display. She heard the hurried footsteps of the man following her come inside the store and stop.

"Awww, come on!" he shouted to no one in particular. His footsteps sounded like he started walking up one of the aisles. She could take this opportunity to head back out of the department store where she knew where the escalators were (but also plenty of men), or she could try to go deeper in to get away from him and find a way downstairs from inside.

"Hey," a male voice said, pulling her from the question in her mind, "can I help you find something?"
