Make a break for it

"GottagoI'llbeback!" she said as quickly as possible, leaving the shop. The anti-theft system started blaring behind her, but Emily pushed forward. She stuffed the pass in her hand between her breasts and started power walking away from the store. A few dozen feet away, she looked back behind herself to see the man who was walking towards her earlier still heading her way, and he made eye contact with her. In addition, several people had heard the alarm going off and were looking in her direction.
