"Baby, I trust you, and the money is good, but absolutely not. That sort of place is beneath you, and it can be dangerous. You'd be gone all night, and besides that, you aren't even 21 yet, they probably couldn't even hire you..." I say, seeing the excitement leave her eyes with every word.
"I understand baby..." she says, a little saddened, "You wouldn't have to worry about me, but I get it. It's probably not a smart idea. I'm just trying to come up with ways for us to get some extra money, I don't want you to have to work, and I know you wouldn't want to ask your parents for money again."
"I'm glad you understand, honey. It's not you, it's them, that sort of thing." I say, rubbing her back to reassure her that I trust her and know where she was coming from.
"Well, I do have another idea." Cassandra says, "Maybe not as lucrative, but it'll definitely help out, I think you'll like it more."
"Oh? What's the idea, babe?" I ask, curious as to her next big suggestion.
