Denise on the homefront.

Denise normally hated cutting class, but getting a hold of the spell-book was far too important. She almost went back to get Cory to drive her to Adam's house, but he looked exhausted and frankly would draw attention if anyone was home.

Well, she thought she hated cutting class, but as she ducked out of the gym entrance and walked off the school property she felt a fun thrill doing what she wasn't supposed to. She was never the best student but she had always avoided trouble... mostly at least, with the teachers. Speaking of which, Denise ducked behind a tree as she saw the vehicle for the school resource officer, Ms. Lane, coming in late. She really had no idea if the SRO would even pull over to talk to her or anything, but it made her feel satisfied to act like a little sneak and avoid notice.

A grin on her face she stepped out after the van got a fair distance away. It felt rather good skipping school and avoiding authority. So naughty! She continued down the sidewalk towards Ai-, Adam's house. She made the right choice not grabbing Cory, the car in the driveway suggested that Adam's mom was still home. She could maybe explain herself being there, but bringing a random guy to Adam's house during school hours while he was gone? Not likely to pass scrutiny, and God knows she didn't want her to think she preferred someone other than her daughter- son! Than Adam! Not the wunderfull Aida.

Denise bit her lip and checked her phone trying to focus her thoughts. The second period would be starting soon, so she should have plenty of time but...

Denise ducked behind a neighbors tree as Adam's mom stepped out from the house to the car, opening the backseat and taking out a few boxes before bringing them inside. She must have gotten back recently from shopping or something. Denise wondered if she should just walk in, give Adam's mom some sort of excuse to grab something from his room, or if she should just sneak around to the backdoor and climb up when she wasn't looking. Though Denise was supposed to be in school, so there was a good chance Adam's mom wouldn't buy her excuse and call the school or Denise's parents to check.
