Chapter 11

How is the food?
Delicious
Yasmina rose with a smile and started to prepare ingredients. “One thing my mother taught me well was how to cook. That, and how to poison someone in over two hundred ways.”
I stared at her incredulously and she winked at me, “Don’t worry, if I was going to kill you, I wouldn’t tell you about it.” Yas walked over and cut a deer down from the ceiling and casually began to butcher it.
Well, given that she was perfectly fine gutting goblins and stringing their organs from the trees, I shouldn't have been surprised that she knew how to carve up a deer. But the sight, mixed with the smell, and the rather rancid contents of my own stomach were too much for me to bear.
Please don't let me throw up.
Bad stomach, bad. Don't do it.
NO! BAD STOMACH!
Fuck.
I laid my girlfriend down as gently as I could and sprinted outside. I puked my guts out, all the cum and boar meat spewing out of me into the dirt. Gods, it smelled horrible. I held onto the outside of the cave for support and retched, getting everything left in my stomach out. My head pounded, and despite being **** for so long, I was still exhausted. Sagging against the wall, I brushed my hair out of my face and groaned, bemoaning the unfortunate series of events that led me here. Urgh, the taste in my mouth was vile. I needed water.
"Hey." Alice's gentle voice came from behind me. I turned and saw her, sleepily rubbing her eyes and holding a bowl of water. Her bedhead was adorable, her copper hair sticking up in random places after sleeping on my lap. Her eyes were clouded with tiredness, and her dress was wrinkled. She winced when she saw the mess I'd made, and offered me the bowl. I thanked her and drank the water, swishing the first few mouthfuls around and spitting to get rid of the vomit taste. I gulped down the rest of it, sating my thirst and cleansing my palate with the taste of fresh spring water. She hugged me from behind, wrapping her strong arms around my waist and resting her head on my shoulder.
"Watching her do that makes me queasy too." She murmured, warmth flowing from her body to mine. I leaned back against her and turned my head to peck her on the cheek. My lips touched her soft skin and she turned to face me as well, both our lips just grazing each other as we held the position, millimeters away from a kiss. I stared into her eyes, now alight with desire as she looked back at me just as intensely. Her hot breath brushed against my cheeks, blowing my loose hair back and forth. Her own gorgeous silky hair tickled my nose as a stray strand hung down in front of her face. I was aware of her breasts pressing into my back, soft cushions to nestle me into her chest, and I was unconsciously pushing my ass against her crotch, my rough and torn pants rubbing against my pussy. Everything else went silent, not even a breeze to rustle the leaves. The birds stopped singing, and the buzz of insects had faded. Our hearts beat as one, a loud pounding in my chest as our pulses synchronized.
Should I kiss her? I really wanted to.
She decided for me by tilting her head up and pressing her lips to my forehead. I froze, standing still as a statue while she kissed me, holding her lips there for half a minute before she broke off.
"You just threw up. I'm not letting you kiss me!" She laughed, and planted another kiss on my cheek. Alice released me from the hug, making me feel cold all over again, and trailed her hand down my arm. As she reached my wrist, I wrapped her hand in mine, fitting my fingers between hers and leaned against her shoulder.
"Penny, we need to talk about what happened today and yesterday." She said, squeezing my hand,
"Never." I replied flatly. Thinking about what happened was a bad idea. As long as I could repress it, shove it into the deepest darkest corner of my mind and forget what happened, it would fade and disappear from my memory. Letting it resurface was a bad idea, and it would capsize the little lifeboat of tranquility I had managed to scrap together. I could feel her worried gaze on me and I turned away, not wanting to meet her eyes.
"Okay..." She answered quietly, voice trailing off. I looked back and saw her looking down, kind of sad. My heart ached for her, but even thinking about what those goblins did to us with their thick, girthy-
Nope! DO NOT THINK ABOUT IT! Oh look a butterfly. This is a nice butterfly, and nothing bad ever happened. Oh look at that, that is a very beautiful bird. Excellent plumage, and that color pattern is exquisite.
I thought about anything I could get my mind on as we stood outside and waited for Yas to finish cooking. Alice was still upset, but she didn't press the issue and I was content to let the bad experience remain buried. The forest here was beautiful, the undergrowth sparse save for a few bushes. Sunlight streamed in from the dense canopy and illuminated spots on the ground with light. Birds were singing their songs, their beautiful voices joining together in an orchestra. I glanced back at Alice, who was scratching the ground with her foot, completely lost in thought. I squeezed her hand, and she looked at me.
"I love you." I murmured, looking into her mesmerizing eyes. She smiled wearily and squeezed my hand back, "I love you too." We stood there in comfortable silence, enjoying the ambience as we held hands. The sun was moving across the sky, the trails of light streaming in moving as well and striking different parts of the ground. As time passed, the birdsong started to change as some birds went to sleep and new ones took their place. My stomach growled, remaining displeased after I emptied it unceremoniously, and I glanced at the cave. I wanted to eat, but I also didn't want to see a butchered deer again. I looked at my girlfriend as she stared into the forest, a blank stare in her eyes as she disappeared into her mind again. She couldn't repress it like I did, and it would **** her for the rest of her life if left to fester. I sighed, knowing what I had to do.
"Alice?"
"Hmm?"
"We can talk about what happened, once we're safe." I said warily, not sure if it was something I even wanted. But it would help the love of my life, and I would do anything for her. Surprise tinted her eyes as she looked at me carefully. Seeing that I was committed, her face softened and she slowly drew me into her embrace. Alice held me against her warm body and I melted into her. She stroked my hair, my favorite thing for her to do and I kept my head buried in her neck.
"Thank you." She whispered and we stayed like that for a long time. I didn't know how much time had passed in her arms, but it wasn't long enough. The sky was dark when she let me go, moonlight taking the place of the sun as it streamed down through the canopy, basking the undergrowth with a ghostly glow. Bioluminescent bugs swarmed around, feeding on pale white flowers that bloomed under the moon and an owl hooted, its call echoing through the almost silent forest.
"HEY GUYS! FOOD'S READY!" Yasmina called from inside the cave, and I perked up, looking at Alice hungrily. I rushed inside, practically dragging my girlfriend behind me as my starving stomach drove me towards the delicious smell of roasted venison.
Inside the cave, the deer was being roasted over the fire. Steaks, ribs, and legs all neatly separated and spread out over a series of spears that my newest handmaiden had repurposed as skewers. I had absolutely no idea where she managed to get spices from, but I smelled the herbaceous scent of sage and coriander, the brightness of mint, and my nostrils burned from the chili powder she had somehow conjured.
"It smells amazing Yas!" I shouted, rushing towards the barbeque. My mouth salivated as I took in the buffet before me, a meal fit for a queen. The exterior of the hunks of meat were perfectly caramelized, a deep golden brown that glistened with oil, another thing I had no idea where she found. Fat dripped off the meat, flaring up the fire wherever it fell. We took the skewers off the flames and set them down to cool on a relatively clean rock, and Yas sprinkled some chopped herbs on top of the cooling meat. It smelled gamey, fatty, and absolutely amazing. I was practically bouncing with excitement as I waited for it to get to a temperature that wouldn't burn my tongue off. Yas smiled, wiping sweat off her brow as she watched me.
"I can't believe you did this... It-It looks so delicious!" I gushed, grinning from ear to ear.
"Thank you my lady." She bowed, before looking at me with a mischievous smile, "Would have been easier if the two of you weren't scared of blood."
"I'm not scared of blood, I just had to make sure my poor baby was okay!" Alice responded indignantly, having already finished a rib of venison when we weren't looking.
"Yeah, it took you five fucking hours to make sure your widdle baby was okay." She responded, smirking at Alice as the latter stuffed her face.
"What can I say, she's a very fussy baby." Alice responded, ripping apart a dripping steak with her hands and teeth.
"I am not a baby!"
"Awww, she's so cuuuuute!" Yasmina reached up and pinched my cheeks and I slapped her hand away with a growl. I started chasing and clawing at her while she laughed and ran away from me. She ran past Alice, who stuck her foot out, and Yas stumbled, only for me to immediately pounce on her. I pinned her down, and she struggled, but I was stronger. She gave up and I stared down at her, while my girlfriend watched and consumed food at an alarming rate.
"You're the baby here." I snarled, and she whimpered as I shoved her down to the floor and stood up with a grin. I offered her a hand, pulling her up after me and she smiled, my joy contagious as everything was going well for once. Almost a dozen bones were in a pile next to Alice, each one licked clean and glistening as my girlfriend somehow finished off a quarter of a deer before it even cooled down enough for me and Yas.
Myself and Yas walked over to the pile and picked some meat for ourselves. I took a set of delectable ribs, and she took a leg. Separating the individual ribs, I saw that it was cooked to a perfect medium, enough to kill whatever parasites that lived in the deer, but still remain juicy. I took one bite and my mouth exploded with flavor.
Ohh shiiiiiiiit... This is better than an orgasm!
The perfectly seared crust was crackly, the golden brown surface of the venison locking in the flavor of the meat. The sprinkled herbs on top helped to cut through the richness of the meat with a breath of freshness and also made the ribs look like they were made by a professional. The meat on the rib was juicy and tender, tougher than beef, but still soft enough to easily tear apart with my teeth. I was in bliss as I filled my stomach, the warm meal burning my tongue with both spice and heat as I ate. I finished off the first rib and sucked all the meat off the bone until all that was left was a glistening white rib. I dropped it next to me and grabbed the next, finishing it off just as fast to fill up the void that was my stomach. Five ribs later, the hunger pangs finally disappeared for good and I slowed down.
Ahh, that was delicious.
I grabbed a tenderloin and started to slowly consume it. I was eating for taste now, not to fill my stomach. I bit off a chunk and savored the venison, letting it dissolve on my tongue as the intramuscular fat melted. I chewed, easily breaking up the meat into pieces small enough to swallow. The next bite was mostly crust, the exterior of the steak still warm despite being out for almost ten minutes. It crackled in my mouth, shattering into shards of crispy deliciousness. I tore into the inside of the meat, eating like a savage, and the juices of the deer dripped down my chin. The spices on the outside of the meat burned my tongue, setting it on fire in a pleasurable way. I ate the rest of the steak, and finally looked around for the first time. Most of the deer was gone, only a few pieces of meat still sitting on the rock. Yas was voraciously ripping into a flank steak, and Alice was lying down, surrounded by bones.
She really was an amazing cook. I made a good decision by taking her on.
I walked over and lay down besides Alice, who flopped a hand onto my chest. I flopped a hand onto her chest in return and we lay there for a while, lazing around like lions after a meal. Yas finished her steak and let out a loud belch, causing a chain reaction as I let out an even louder burp. Alice looked at me, eyes twinkling, and sat up. She pounded on her chest with a fist, and opened her mouth. For two seconds, nothing came out.
"BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!" She let out the loudest burp I've ever heard, sending it echoing through the cave. The flames danced in the wind from her burp, sent into disarray from the **** of her belch. She looked at me and smirked, "I win."
"What prize do you want?" I asked, wrapping her arm around me.
"The only thing I've ever wanted. You." She looked at me adoringly and I looked back, sinking into her eyes as she pulled me closer to her. I pressed my lips to hers and she returned it, one hand grabbing my cheek to hold me against her. I moaned into the kiss, so happy to be with my girlfriend in a warm cave, with my belly full of a delicious meal.
"Gods above, get a room you two. I don't want to see you eating each other's faces off!" Yas exclaimed, rolling her eyes. I snuggled closer to Alice and taunted Yas, "Close your eyes if you don't want to see."
"I might just claw out my eyeballs at this rate."
"How about I-"
"How about, we all get some sleep?" Alice interrupted, "We've all had a couple of long days, and no proper rest."
"Before we do that, I found some better gear for all of us!" Yasmina interrupted, and pointed to a pile of clothes, weapons and armor we hadn't noticed.
What do they find?
