Defending the Kingdon
Planning out a circle of defense around the city was not easy. Homes along the perimeter were **** to decide between evacuation or risking it alone, choosing to risk it over abandoning their belongings was rare but did occur. Others rushed into city and were carefully directed to safe houses while additional construction was underway to house them long term. The perimeter was built with flawless precision. Not an inch was left open, the entire city was surrounded by two rings; 1 of fire and the other of quicksand. Each roughly 20 feet wide.
The city was rich in food and materials to keep a fire burning for a long time. While some pushed to search for supplies in the woods until the Orcs arrived, caution was chosen to avoid any Orcs sneaking into the city before the fire ring could be completed.
The only question left to be answered was if a tunnel was to be constructed as an emergency escape. While Cher argued that it was absolutely necessary for the Francesca's protection. Others feared that it was too large a risk to be discovered and utilized by the invaders.
Finally Willie Nelson decided that the tunnel would be constructed to 90% completion. That way it could not be discovered at the surface but could be completed quickly if a risk/invasion was immanent. The construction was to be done immediately by a small team that would stay on duty as first responders if the evacuation alert was given.
At this point the city was completely cut off from the rest of the world. No communication was delivered to the outside nor was any plan made to communicate in the future.
