Decide who picks first

Before you have a chance to say anything Blue and Amber begin to argue over who gets to choose the first starter. Since there are three of you, one of your friends is bound to have the type advantage against you right out of the gates and one will be at a disadvantage against you. Their arguing continues as you realize the choice of what starter you would pick had not crossed your mind until just now, not to mention whether or not you would be able to pick the pokemon of your choice.

You notice the argument beginning to escalate further than Amber and Blue typically are able to and immediately intervene. Stepping between the two you try to reason, “Since its Amber’s birthday today… I think that maybe she should pick first.”

Amber smirks at Blue, “See? Its only fair that I get to pick first, if you wanted to pick first so bad then maybe you should have picked one out already” Amber teases.

Blue tries to object, “You… you can’t seriously believe I’ll just give up my first pick just because today happens to be your birthday” he responds turning away from Amber.

You think to yourself for a bit, both Amber and Blue have their reasons for why they should be the one to pick first. In fact there’s nothing stopping anyone from reaching out and picking picking one.
