Dealing with some goblins

As you make your way out of town, Nell explains that the two of you have been tasked with taking care of a group of goblins that have been harassing merchants along the main road in and out of town. Even though you're still a novice adventurer, even you know that goblins are weak monsters who eke out a meager living on the fringes of human society. A small group of them should be no trouble for a knight with support from someone with skills such as yours.

As the two of you head further and further from town, the road slowly becomes less and less busy. By the time the sun is high in the sky, you've made your way to a quiet patch of the road that borders a forest. At this point Nell slows his pace, making sure he keeps his eyes peeled for any movement in the brush along the side of the road. The two of you creep along, Nell's hand at his side, ready to draw his sword. You likewise hold your hands to your chest, ready to activate your magic at a moment's notice.

It doesn't take long before four goblins jump out of the brush a ways in front of you, no doubt expecting to use their makeshift spears to make you voluntarily give up your possessions. You are slightly confused, though, at the goblin standing behind the other three, as he is dressed slightly differently and his stick is gnarled in on itself instead of sharpened to a point.

Nonetheless they are still goblins, and you are sure the two of you can take them on handily.
