Day Two

Emma had slept like a baby. She stretched lazily, then hopped out of her cousin's bed, smiling while she took in the sunlit filled room.

Yesterday's actions, the loss of her parents, vague worries about school, they all melted away as she made her way to the bathroom.

Emma quickly relieved herself and brushed her teeth, getting rid of the faint taste of her morning breath, then prepared to go downstairs.

The twins were most likely already involved in their schooling with Aunt Maude, so Emma figured she could grab some breakfast, or at least coffee. Then she would have to decide how to occupy herself until her relatives were free.
