Day 2 of Intermediate Alchemy

Before you head back out, you slip your alchemy ring on. You expect you'll need it for class and there's no reason not to keep it on... outside of your predicament, that is. When you reenter the commons, Victor and Parisa are still going at it. In fact, you're pretty sure that they're having sex from the way Parisa is straddling him. She gives you a wink as you walk past. As much as you'd love to stay and watch, you want to start the day off well. You have a chance to succeed in your classes and you're gonna make the most of it.

You arrive at your desk with a little time to spare. Once again, a basin of water is placed before you. This time, however, a measuring scale is set beside it. You pass the time freezing and thawing the water, trying to make different shapes as Parisa had done. You meet with more success than you anticipated; even hindered, your magic is potent.

The bell rings and the clapping of running feet heralds the arrival of your partner and her boyfriend. Professor Samael Schwartz does not look amused but when the last bell tolls, he starts his lesson without scolding either of them.

"Today, class, I'm going to introduce you to the foundational principle of alchemy: equivalent exchange. With conjuration, you can create something out of nothing." He conjures an apple in his hand to demonstrate. "You convert magical energy into physical matter in order to create an object of your choosing. Alternatively, conjuration also includes techniques that bring a preexisting object to your location. In such a case, your magical energy is expended to move the object, however you choose to do so. Transmutation, on the other hand, is the process of turning one object into another." Demonstrating again, the apple in his hand changes into an orange before your very eyes. "Here, your magic power changes the physical properties of an object. It takes less of a toll than conjuration but can come with some unforeseen complications which we will address in a later class. Alchemy is a form of transmutation in which you merely restructure, rather than alter your starting materials. It's more efficient, and generally safer, but requires a better understanding of the nature of things." In his most shocking demonstration yet, he pulls a small knife from his wrist with which he peels the orange. He then closes his hands around the knife and it disappears back to whatever he made it out of.

You're entralled by the lecture, having no magical education before coming to Ash Forest Academy. Parisa, on the other hand, seems entralled by something else entirely. Both of her hands are above the table but her face looks like she's getting off. You sneak a glance back at Victor. He appears to be focused on the lecture. An arrogant smirk is the only thing that betrays something amiss. You wonder... Could she be Victor's thrall the way that you're Kim's?

Professor Schwartz asks the class to place their respective basins on their scales. The goal of the lab was the same as last class: turn the water into ice. The purpose of the scale is to demonstrate equivalent exchange. Regardless of how much water a student alters, the mass in the basin stays the same. Assuming they do it right, that is. You flex what magic you can and meet with incredible success. Parisa again shows off impressive ice sculptures, even in her horny state.

The Professor assigns the class a reading before next time and dismisses the class. Your mind is racing as you leave the classroom. Alchemy can be incredibly useful even with your limited magic power. But you still don't have a concrete plan to escape. And Parisa... You suspect that she might be a **** to Victor. The question is: is she a willing subject or a victim like you?
