Day 1 OtJT

Following the curve of the sun you know which way is west. Setting off you start your journey by finding supplies. You quickly amass some flint and small stones for a fire, cover yourself with mud and dirt to hide your scent and start walking through the forest. As you go on your walk counting your paces to take few moments to rest but in the times that you do.

You notice the gentle sunlight peak through the leaves lighting up your way. Gentle streams and brooks bubble and gurgle alongside you. Cicadas and other insects chirps and creek all around you hidden in the tall blades of grass. Birds are chirping in the distance and the whole experience is entirely peaceful.

Its such a peaceful sight that you almost forget your number of paces, you quickly remind yourself 626, 626, 626. Before quickly continuing on your journey and eventually stopping at the 800 or so mark seeing the sun falling down you start your search for a campsite. You cut into a nearby tree 810 with an arrow pointing to where you came from.

After searching for a little while you manage to find a small opening surrounded by trees, a grotto. Knowing you've found an advantageous spot you mark the nearest tree outside. Walking back in you note that the place is littered with sticks and even has an old unused campfire quickly you grab some of the charcoal and chip away at it using the flint and make yourself a much better pencil. Taking the note from the deity you scribble a poorly drawn map displaying how far away the hill is using paces and the direction. The Campfire seems a few weeks old so you decide to make this your small hiding place. Quickly scavenging for sticks and some wood you find most of it to be damp but there are some small scraps that have dried out and stayed so. Using your flint and some stone you try your best to light a fire. To your success as a small flame slowly ebbs into shape. Knowing to be careful you you strip away the bark off of the stick and throw the raw wood onto the flame and let the bark try out next to the fire so as to make kindling. Eventually the fire is crackling and is at a good enough height for warmth.

Setting up your tent you lay open your cot grab some trail mix and chew it on it. Before you know the sun is down and you lie down inside your cot and doze off to the campfire.
