What's next?

Daphne new life

Daphne has led a very paradoxical life. She was the daughter of cops, yet she was one of the most violent kids in elementary school history, as well as the high school **** kingpin. She has a very pretty Asian face that was straight out of a K-pop group, but she has beautiful red hair that looked like it belonged to an Irish woman that modeled for their hair products. She was the leader of the popular schoolgirls, and she was dating the least liked woman in town.

The point was that Daphne was a woman who seemed to embody the meaning of contradiction. So right now, if anyone found out she fell in love with Fred while still being a lesbian, they wouldn't be surprised. It would be just another contradiction to add to all the others. You'd think Daphne's life goal was trying to set a world record, honestly.

No, what made this different than before was how in a single moment her entire world had changed. First being in love with Fred allowed her to realize almost instantly in the same second how much dating Velma was a mistake. Not only was she probably the most unattractive person she'd ever met, but she was also the most unlikable, and she could now see without her love blinding her how Velma just used her for her own benefit without giving anything in return.

So she was going to break up with her the first chance she got. Wait, no, she can't do that. What if Fred thought that he was her rebound or she was just using him to boost her popularity since he was still considered one of the hottest guys at school? Not to mention Velma is a vengeful bitch and would probably take it out on Fred, which is the last thing Daphne wants.

So as Daphne stared at Fred, thinking of all the ways she could safely break up with the psycho parasite that was Velma and get with Fred, not realizing that she'd gotten rather intense with her looking, starting to freak out Fred and make him rather afraid considering her violent past and that her lesbian cop parents would probably cover up any crime she committed.

She would spend the rest of the day thinking about Fred while avoiding Velma at every opportunity. The more she thought of Fred, the more she felt she had to stare at him or take little peaks when she couldn't stare due to class assignments and just be in awe that her soul mate had been here all along and she hadn't seen it all this time.

The more she thought about that, though, the more it began to haunt her, as she hadn't been nice or fair to him at all. She'd even backhanded him when he asked her to go to the fog festival, which he had to pay her to do. Honestly, he probably should have asked for his money back considering she got drunk and started hitting on a cross-dressing Velma instead of even dancing with him once for the whole festival.

She was pretty sure she didn't spend a total of two minutes with Fred, despite the thousands he paid her to just be seen with him at the fog festival. Then there was the time her mom's arrested him on Velma word and their own biased views of straight white men, effectively all but arresting him on the fact he was a straight white guy with no other real evidence.

So yeah, her family got away with discrimination, and Fred can't sue them for that because he's the heir of a major company, and the media would crucify him and cause their stock to take a nose dive if he went after a lesbian couple, whether he was right or not. To make matters even worse for her, she was dating the woman who not only pointed the finger and got him arrested in the first place but publicly humiliated him so much that during the trial he lashed out at Velma in front of the entire court.

It was the final nail in the coffin for his defense, getting him sent to prison. Velma told Daphne she would have really enjoyed sending an innocent Fred to rot in prison because she loved abusing white men at any opportunity but was too busy trying to figure out whether she was a lesbian or not to truly enjoy Fred's suffering.

Christ, she was practically a card-carrying member of the we hate Fred fan club at this point, wasn't she? There's no way he would date her considering she had either supported their actions or stood to the side and said nothing in his defense. He would immediately assume it's an elaborate trap of some sort and run in the opposite direction if she tried to ask him out. She would be lucky if even trying to ask him out didn't cause him to straight up beg his father to move to a safer state or at least switch to some type of prep school that was far away from her.

So how was she going to get him to like her? These thoughts burned in her head as her past decisions and apathy toward how Fred had been treated now haunted her. Eventually she decided the best thing to do was to try and just catch him as he left school.

Hoping that once school ended she would have plenty of time to create a dialogue with Fred and get started on improving their relationship. Which would hopefully lead to them dating somewhere down the line. It was not the moment Fred saw her in the rearview mirror that he took off, speeding up out of the school parking lot.

It would appear she was going to have to be indirect if she was going to improve her relationship with Fred. The first thing would be to find out more about him. So time to find out the gossip on Fred. Daphne headed to the other popular girls hangout to find out what the latest was on Fred. She would get Fred; the only question is how?
