Daphne first night

(Daphne POV)

When Daphne and Leo appeared in the master bedroom, Daphne first noticed the impressive size of the bed. It was clearly designed to accommodate more than 2 people. The thought triggered an adrenalin rush that Daphne was quick to contain. She felt guilty and excited.

She swore inwardly. She hated this transformation. She pushed her thoughts from her mind and walked over to the table that stood on the balcony. On it was a set of dishes worthy of a 3-star chef. Super nothing like good food to take her mind off things.

"I hope you're hungry, because Nola's prepared food for fifteen." Says Leo.

"Sure, no worries you know me I'm capable of eating for five" Daphne replied trying to put on a brave face.

They sat down opposite each other. Daphne breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that Nola had forgotten to add candles to make it more romantic.

"I've had a lovely day. It brought back memories. Life was simple back then." Leo says.

"We grew up and I dare say we didn't turn out too badly." Daphne replied.

This remark seemed to bother Leo enough for Daphne to ask a few questions.

"Are you all right, Leo? You seem to have something on your mind. Would you like to share it with me?"

"It's nothing. I was just wondering how the others were doing. This show is twisted enough that Nola's found a way to keep them busy." Says Leo.

"You're worried about them, I understand. This show must be as hard for you to bear as it is for us." Daphne replied.

Leo got angry and raised his voice.

"What the hell are you talking about? Do you realize what you're saying? I'm not in the same situation as you. You're victims! And I'm not..."

"And what are you? Are you going to tell me you weren't kidnapped? That you organized all this?" Says Daphne just as annoyed.

"No, of course I didn't. But..."

"But what, Leo? Where does this misplaced guilt come from? I don't have the time or energy to deal with your anxieties, so get it off your chest." Says Daphne firmly

Daphne saw that Leo hesitated, however, so she had to wait for him to speak before continuing.

"The problem, the problem is that I dreamed and wished I was in this kind of situation. You know I love harem-themed manga. So, you can imagine that I've often imagined myself in this kind of situation." Leo says.

"I'd guessed that so far," thought Daphne.

"But that's not all, is it?" she questioned.

"Remember in secondary school, we always hung out together, so much so that you'd heard rumors that I'd be in love with you." Said Leo

"I remember that" said Daphne.

"Then you remember what happened after you heard those rumors. You decided you were going to prove them wrong, so you went and asked me if I was in love with you" says Leo.

"And you answered that I was," said Daphne.

"And I told you I was in love with you. But you didn't accept this and broke off all contact with me. Refusing to talk to me or work with me." Says Leo.

"I know all that. I was a fool but that was a long time ago and you forgave me." Says Daphne.

"Indeed, after seven months you forgave me because I stopped chasing you and decided to ignore you which made you react. We became friends again and have been ever since." Leo continued.

"What's your point?" Daphne asked.

"I used to be in love with you, and although it calmed down and I fell back in love with other people, the place you'd taken in my heart never went away." Says Leo

"Wait? You mean..."

"I realized years ago that I was, am and will be in love with you. Always." Leo says solemnly.

Daphne repeated the sentence over and over in her head without understanding its meaning. So naturally she replied.

"What???!!!!"

"I love you. Enough to dream about you regularly and in a number of those dreams you're a member of my harem. That's why I'm sorry and feel guilty." Said Leo.

Member of his harem. These words excited her. Cursed transformation, she thought. After several seconds alone, she looked at Leo again. He looked depressed, as if he could burst into tears and collapse in seconds. Then the obvious struck her. He was afraid. Afraid of losing her again. Afraid she'd abandon him again. It was too much. She stepped forward and took him in her arms.

Hug with Master 1 x 2 VP for Daphne.

"All is well. I'm not going to abandon you." Said Daphne.

"Thank you." Said Leo his voice rather poorly hiding his emotion.

"I'm far too smart to make the same mistake twice." Said Daphne.

Leo laughed.

"Indeed, you are. But thanks anyway." Said Leo.
