Dancing Queen

Laura and Kate practically ran into the club dancefloor, Gem followed behind. Emma had opted to stay behind at the flat, wasn't her thing apparently, I wasn't too surprised if I'm honest. So this was a Club? Well, it was the closest to a club I had ever seen. In reality, it was a converted level of one of the buildings as the centre of campus. The SU would normally have table and chairs for people to sit down and get some food during the day. Those had been cleared away, I could see them through one of the doors at the other side of the large room. The only thing that had been left in the room from during the day was the 3 pool table in the corner, they still had a few people gathered around playing and some of the sofas just adjacent. The bulk of the room was taken up by a dance floor with flashing light going off in all directions. Music boomed throughout playing all the latest chart music. The place was packed with drunk students, it was hardly surprising I mean it was the first night of freshers.

Jake: 'Well this sucks, lets head to the bar'

Maybe it was because I didn't know any better, but I didn't mind it. It seemed a bit ragtag but it had a good upbeat feel to the place, maybe it was too middle of the road for Jake. I suppose I was just optimistic about wide-eyed about all these new things. One bit I did agree with him on though that sucked was the queuing time for drinks, it was insane. Once we did get to the bar, we opted to get 2 rounds in at once and regrouped just to the side of the dance floor.

Me: 'Where are the girls?'

Kish: 'Over there'

He pointed somewhere into the crowd of people dancing, It took me a while but eventually, I spotted them dancing away. There was a small group of guys dancing near them, I could tell they were trying to get their attention but they didn't pay them any notice. Gem looked up from her dancing and saw us on the edge, she dragged them over to over to us.

Gem: 'Oh is one of those for me'

She proceeded to take one of the 2 drinks I had in my hand, the other girls had grabbed one off Clarky and Jake. I don't think we had bought them for the girls, but I thought better than to say that.

Jake: 'Hey Kish, your double-parked. Drink up'

Kish looked at his two drinks hesitantly for a while before lifting one to his mouth and necking it. I had got the impression that Kish was as new to all of this as I was but really wanted to 'be one of the guys' and impress Jake. Jake barely took any notice as a girl in an SU shirt carrying a tray of drink walked up to us.

SU girl: '10 bombs for a tenner?'

Clarky: 'My round yeah?'

Looking round at us he got a nod from Jake. Clarky proceeded to hand over £10 to the girl who gave her the tray in exchange. Now I had never had a jaeger bomb before but from what I learned, it had **** to get you drunk and energy drink to keep you awake. The essentials for a night out Gem explained, also you had to do it in one for some reason. Clarky handed us all one and we all clinked our plastic cups in the middle.

Everyone: 'Cheers'

I did as I was told and downed it in one. It had this horrible sickly sweet taste, I kinda understood why you did it in one now. This sense of warmth filled my chest almost immediately. Clarky handed me and Jake one of the remaining 3. I decided it was best to take the invite and necked it with them. After this one, I felt a slight rising of sick in my stomach. It only lasted a moment thankfully before passing.

Jake: 'next rounds your Kish'

To be fair he was the only one of us who hadn't bought any drinks so far, well the girls hadn't but I got the impression they weren't going to need to buy any tonight. As Kish headed to the bar again I felt someone tug at my arm to the dance floor. I turned and saw it was Gem.

Gem: 'come on, us girls aren't going to let you guys just stand here and drink all night. There is dancing to be done!'

I called out to Kish and signalled to the dance floor so he would know where we were. He gave me a thumbs up and then disappeared into the mass of people at the bar. Not long later the remaining 6 of us were on the dance floor. Laura immediately started dancing near the boys. Kate and Gem were just dancing on in their own little part of a circle we had formed as a group. I looked around and saw people in various states of inebriation and wondered how drunk I seemed. After those last bombs, I could certainly feel the **** in my system but the world still seemed fairly normal and I didn't have any problems with my speech or movements from what I could tell.

It took me a while but with a little bit of encouragement from the girls I found my dancing shoes, I had played music for nearly a decade when I was at school and so had alright timing I guessed. Much better than Kish who had returned with another bomb for everyone. He was defiantly drunk now, and his full-throttle dancing reflected that. Knowing it terms of embarrassment, Kish would be topping the rest of us I got into it easier.

Kate: 'Looks like someone has some skills. I do like a man who can dance'

I realised Kate was referring to me, that gave me the extra bit of confidence to really give it my all. Much to the girl's entertainment. Jake seemed less impressed but then he was just stood there with a drink in hand barely dancing. Even Laura seemed to have lost interest in trying to get him to dance now. Instead, she was spending most of her time grinding and rubbing her body on Clarky, who was much more receptive to her efforts that Jake. I did catch her glancing over a Jake occasionally though. Maybe she hadn't given up, just trying to use Clarky to get Jake jealous?

Another round had appeared from somewhere and we all necked it again in unison. Kish's dancing had lost much of the previous energy and now was sluggish, the **** was really affecting him. He wasn't the only one, Clarky and Laura were less dancing now, more eating each other's face from what I could tell. Jake had finally loosened up a bit and looked like he was trying to make a move on Gem. I couldn't help but laugh, none of us had told him that she was a lesbian. By the looks of it neither had she. Kate and I were dancing pretty close now, she placed her leg between mine and I could feel her warmth on me. We were inches apart, I could feel the swelling down below start as we danced. Kate spun around and grabbed my arms in so I was holding her tight. She leaned her head to the side exposing her neck. I leaned in and kissed it. I felt her push her rear into my crotch as she started to grind on me. I was completely hard now and there was no way Kate couldn't have noticed. That didn't stop her, the opposite in fact as she just started to grind even harder. I continued to kiss her neck as she slowly guided my hands up from her waist onto her boob tube. Kate: 'who knew you had the moves in you Alex'

Me: 'I keep telling people, I'm full of surprises'

Kate: 'mm, I hope you have one more for me'

She reached down and placed her hand where my jeans were hardest. God, I love nights out I decided.

That was as far as it was to go through sadly. Kish stumbled into us and proceeded to throw up all over the floor. Killing the mood instantly.

Kate: 'Kish you prick!'

Just like that, the moment between me and kate had passed. I wasn't going to get anywhere further tonight.

Me: 'I don't think he needs any more tonight'

Kate: 'Fucking Jake, this is his fault. He knows Kish just will do what he says'

I looked around for the others but there were nowhere to be seen. As if knowing what I was thinking Gem spoke.

Gem: 'Clarky and Laura left about 20 mins ago, Jake disappeared not long after he realised he was getting a piece of this tonight'

Gem pointed to herself that made us both smile.

Kate: 'Ugh! you got some on my leg Kish, gross!'

A bouncer had come out of nowhere and grabbed Kish up off the floor

Bouncer: 'I think your nights over mate'

Figuring it was the end of the night regardless for us all now I decided that I would have to help Kish out.

Me: 'I'll take him back, he only lives on campus opposite me'

I went to escort the bouncer and Kish to the door before I did though I turned to see Kate was OK. She was still looking at her leg all grossed out and didn't notice me looking.

Gem: 'Don't worry I'll get her cleaned up in the ladies and back to their flat ok'

I saw Gem go other to Kate and then they both headed in the direction of the loos. I heard the bouncer cough and realised he was waiting for me still propping Kish up. I hooked his arm over me and began the short walk back to our flats.
