Dance and get smashed

As soon as you were in the club, the crew started with their first night time revelry of the trip. You were right up there, dancing, laughing and guzzling down **** with abandon. The glitzy glamour of the tightly packed club was something you were used to and time seemed to slow down every time you're in this lovely place of nirvana. There was no other place like it anywhere. Not even back home. The strobing laser lights. The loud pumping beats that DJ spins up. They even had a smoke machine that the owners love to use during happy hour. 'Smoking Time' was what they called it, and the crowd loved every minute of it. With every beat, you could feel your body seem to vibrate and feel like your serotonin levels shoot through the roof. You cannot stop dancing, even with a cocktail in your hand, and your friends are the same. Everyone in the club is having a good time.

During a momentary pause from your drunken stupor, a string of cloudy thoughts run through your head. You wonder why you love this club so much. You wonder why you like Smoking Time. Your drink is running out. Time for another. You stumble your way through the crowd to the bar to order up a fresh glass, which the bartender happily mixes one for you in one of those awesome bottle flipping techniques. You wished you could do that, but you were an art student. Not a bottle flipper--bartender. When he finishes garnishing, you don't even care if it looked different from what you had earlier. All you care about was getting back to the dance. You take a sip of your new drink.

For some reason, it felt like it was a lot harder to get back into the crowd to find your friends. Since you couldn't, you decide to hang around at the far corner of the dance floor full of drunken, bouncing people. It was too loud for you to hear anything. Your world was taking a strange euphoric spin. Your insides felt like it was burning, but you didn't care. If you were about to pass out, which you somehow weren't, your friends or the staff will take care of you. They're friendly like that.
