Dan

It wasn't much of an option. Leanne wanted to stick with Dan and choosing between the good looking one or his chubby mate was an easy decision. "Okay, let's go," announced Leanne. Gary seemed disappointed to hear this and Leanne wondered if he actually thought she was going to choose him over his much hotter co-worker. Either way Dan led her away to Mr. Johnson's room and they were greeted by another worker stood outside his door.

"What's the problem this time?" asked Dan, trying his best to sound professional in front of Leanne.

"He's just getting really aggressive for no reason," replied the other worker. She looked at Leanne and eyed her suspiciously but said nothing to her. "He always gets like this at this time of the month, but it's always worse around this time of year for some reason."

"I'd better go in and try to calm him down," added Dan, his macho act in full flow.

"You'd better wait here," said the other worker to Leanne. "If he hurts a member of the public there could be a lot of trouble."

"He's just an old man, right?" asked Leanne, turning between Dan and his colleague. "Surely he can't do that much damage."

"Maybe it'd be best if you waited her," replied Dan thoughtfully. "It'll only take a minute or two."

Leanne folded her arms and slumped against the wall in a sulk as Dan entered the old man's room with the other worker. She waited impatiently for the next few minutes until she heard a loud roar followed by a scream and a lot of shouting. A minute later the two workers reappeared with Dan tightly holding his forearm and looking a little panicked.

"He bit me! I can't believe he bit me!" yelled Dan frantically.

"Relax," replied the woman calmly. "It was only a scratch." She inspected the wound closely. "You'll be fine, but if you're worried go see the nurse just in case. At least Mr. Johnson's calm now." With her job done the worker walked away, allowing Leanne to step forward and check on Dan.

"Are you okay?" she asked with concern in her voice. "I heard the screaming."

"Yea, I guess," replied Dan unconvincingly. "Just don't expect a resident to bite you like that." He inspected his arm closely, doubtful over his co-worker's diagnosis. "Maybe I should go to the nurse though. You know, just to make sure."

"I'll come with you," added Leanne cheerily. She wasn't overly won over by the grown man's whining about a small cut but still wanted to stick close. They started heading for the nurse's office when Dan suddenly collapsed against the wall. He could barely stand and his face had been drained of all colour. "Dan! Are you okay?" Leanne looked around in a panic for someone to help but the corridor was deserted. The nurse's office was close but could she carry Dan that far?
