The orcs had been defeated, their once mighty stronghold now under my control. The orcs were placed in holding cells. The bunny girl was treated for any injuries she received and was resting inside a bed in the stronghold under the observation of Arielia. I used my domain to order pizza from my world.
The delivery guy appeared in the portal and handed me the box, his face contorting in confusion at the unfamiliar surroundings. He quickly left, and I took the warm pizza into the bunny girl's room, my eyes immediately drawn to the frightened bunny girl huddled on the bed. She was dressed in a simple white shift, her soft curves visible beneath the thin fabric. She cowered away from me, her eyes wide with fear as she scrambled backwards, pressing herself against the headboard. Expectantly, she was cautiously slow to trust me. The psychological damage from the cult and possible previous **** owners had indeed taken a huge toll on her. Her fluffy ears twitched anxiously.
"Shh, shh, it's alright," I soothed, holding up my hands in a placating gesture. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just wanted to check on you and make sure you're doing okay." I approached the bed slowly, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible. The bunny girl trembled, her eyes darting around the room as if looking for an escape route. I could see the bruises and cuts on her body from her time as a **** to the orcs.
"I am the Scourge. What's your name?" I asked gently, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
She flinched when I sat down, her ears flattening against her head but didn't run. "D-Daisy. My name is Daisy," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart. "Please don't hurt me. I'll do whatever you want, just please don't hurt me." Tears welled up, and she looked at me with a mixture of fear and desperation. Her body was shaking, and she seemed to be having trouble breathing, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
I reached out slowly, gently placing my hand on her shoulder. "Daisy, I'm not going to hurt you. You're safe now. I defeated the orcs who held you captive." I gave her a reassuring smile, trying to put her at ease.
"I was taken by the orcs eight years ago. They...they did terrible things to me." Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled down her cheeks.
I reached out to gently wipe away her tears, but she flinched away from my touch. "I understand, Daisy. You've been through a lot. But you're safe now. I've taken control of this stronghold, and I won't let anyone hurt you again." I kept my voice soothing, trying to project calmness and reassurance. "Do you have any family?"
She sniffled, shaking her head. "My family... they're all gone. The orcs... they killed everyone in my village." Her words wavered, and she took a shuddering breath.
"I don't know where to go now."
Her stomach growled.
Daisy clutched her stomach.
"From the state we found you in, we assume the people who previously held you captive rarely fed you. I thought you might be hungry."
I opened the pizza box, revealing the delicious slices inside. The aroma of cheese, sauce, and dough filled the room, making Daisy's stomach growl even louder. She looked at the pizza with a mix of hunger and hesitation, unsure if she could trust the food or the person offering it to her.
"It's okay," I said gently, picking up a slice and holding it out to her. "I promise this is safe to eat. I ordered it from my own world, so there's nothing harmful in it. Go ahead and have some. You need to keep your strength up."
Daisy's eyes widened at the mention of another world, but her hunger seemed to overpower her caution.
She hesitantly reached out, her hand trembling as she took the pizza slice from me. She held it close to her face, inhaling the scent deeply before taking a small, tentative bite. Her eyes fluttered closed as the flavors burst across her tongue, a soft moan escaping her lips.
"Mmmm... it's so good," she murmured, quickly devouring the slice. I watched as she ate, her earlier fear and hesitation slowly melting away in the face of her hunger. I offered her another slice, and she accepted it gratefully, already looking more relaxed. Thank you. I haven't had anything this delicious in a long time." Daisy's face and body language were starting to relax as she enjoyed the pizza. Her ears perked up slightly, and she began to look at me with less apprehension.
I spoke, "I'd like to discuss what's going to happen over the next few months."
"The safest place for you is by my side. I'm going to teach you self defense. We shall need to give you a weapon."
Daisy nodded, her fluffy ears twitching as she listened intently. "I understand. I want to be able to protect myself." She took another bite of pizza, savoring the taste as she considered her situation.
"There's a blacksmith in my domain. I left a change of clothes for you."
Daisy put on a red and black dress that reached down to her thighs and high ankle boots.
I opened a portal to my domain. Her eyes couldn't go any wider if she tried.
I walked towards the portal, Daisy on my heels, both stopping just shy of the blue vortex. Daisy shivered slightly, nervous to enter.
I offered my hand to her, palm up in a gesture of comfort and support. "It's alright, Daisy. I promise this is safe. My domain is like a pocket dimension - a space entirely under my control. It's where I live and where we'll be training you. You'll be safe there, I swear it."
Daisy hesitated for a moment longer before tentatively placing her hand in mine. I guided her towards the portal. She shivered as she stepped through, the swirling blue vortex enveloping us both for a moment before we emerged on the other side.
