DODGE!!!

Before I could think, I instinctively jumped back again, just as the monstrous spider launched forward digging it's mandibles into the dirt where my feet once stood.

"Watch out, it's venom is super poisonous!" Yoko cried out to me. "Don't worry though it's my turn."

I watched as the bunny girl leaped up in the air screaming "GATLING KICK!!!" as loud as she could. She came down feet first into the beast's head, her legs a blur of pistoning muscle. I couldn't even keep up with how many kicks she landed on the creature, but could tell that it had done some damage. With one final strike right into one of the beast's ruby red eyes, before doing a backflip off of it.

The rabbit woman landed next to me. "Okay your turn, Mina. You said you don't know how to fight, so use some of your natural abilities."

"What abilities!?" I asked panicked.

"You know, your natural abilities that all onis have. You know, like your Oni Fire, or your Drill Horn."

"Oni Fire?" I wondered out loud. "Okay here it goes." I said nervously.

Thinking back to some of my favorite video games, and anime, and from what I saw, I decided to give it a try. Taking a firm step forward staring the ugly Skullantula directly in the eight eyes. I took a deep breath, and swallowed my nerves.

I let out a yell "Oni Fire!" Instinctively I took a giant breath, filling my lungs full of air, puffing up my cheeks. Before trying my best to blow out the world's ugliest birthday candle. To my surprise, it was as if a flamethrower was coming out of my mouth.

The trail of fire stretched out in front of me hitting the hideous spider. I kept forcing as much air out of me, till my lungs felt like they were pressing up against my back, before I finally had to stop and take a breath.

I looked in amazement, as the Beast reared back in pain on its back four legs, while it's front four legs raised up into the sky instinctively. It let out a sickening Cry of pain. It was legitimately on fire. I could see the Flames still climbing off of its head, then started to spread onto the hairs of its thorax.

The Beast slamed down on the ground in front of us and rolled around to put my remaining embers. The ground trembled under its weight. My own weight instinctively shifted, to keep my balance.

"All right, that's how you do it." Yoko almost sounded excited by this.

At this point theSkullantula finally put itself out. The unmistakable scent of burnt hair had assaulted my nose. The monster was none too pleased at this point. It decided to vent its rage on Yoko. It lunged forward at her, once again trying to stab her with its massive mandibles, but the bunny girl was way too fast. Similar to me, all it managed to get was a mouthful of dirt.

"You're on the wrong Island butt-ugly. My agility is way too high for you." Yoko had that goofy grin on her face again, while easily dodging. She was liking this.

I watched her rush off to the side of me, running along the edge of the fence line. It was strange sight, because I started to see ghost images of her. The bunny fighter kept dashing around in circles, faster and faster, even running on the water of the hot spring itself. She encased this monster in doppelgangers of herself.

At this point there were dozens of Yokos, then they all jumped at once. The Skullantula followed all of their movements up into the air. Those gleaming red eyes darting back, and forth, trying to figure out which one was the real bunny woman.

"High speed axe kick!" Yoko's voice rang out from the sky.

All of the rabbits suddenly pulled into one another, to reveal the Yoko, on the beast's right side. She was about 20 ft in the air. She brought the heel of her sneaker down right where the Skullantula's head and thorax connected.

A thunderous boom, followed by a rush of air that blew my hair back, and caused me to close my eyes momentarily. Blinking my vision back into Focus, I could now see the Monster laid flat on the ground. Yoko , meanwhile backfliped into position next to me.

"What the hell Yoko?! That was nothing for you?" I stood there dumbfounded.

"Well, I am a black belt in lepus kickboxing. In the week you're here I can give you some lessons. By the way you might want to get ready, cuz if you wait too long it'll skip your turn."

"Right, thanks for reminding me. Wait, my turn! what is this, a video game!?"

"What's a video game?" Yoko asked slightly dumbfounded

"Okay, what was that other thing Yoko said?" I asked myself.

I starediat the monster trying to pick itself up off the ground at this point.

"Oh right, DRILL HORN!" I yelled. Suddenly my body rushing forward towards the thing I didn't even want to get near. I felt this Breeze Sweeping in front of me. I realized it was coming from the small horn sticking out of my forehead. A Vortex of energy was forming right in front of it, made of some sort of translucent blue and white energy.

I **** myself to stop just mere inches away from the monster. I could feel it's hot breath on me. Suddenly the drill spinning around my horn fired forward right into its open maw. I looked on in awe, as the beast shredded apart. It's body spraying outwardly in all directions.

Just as I was worried about being splattered by its nasty bug guts, everything started to break up into ash, and lifted upwards into the sky. The bits dissipated in the open air. A gentle breezeWcame through, like nothing happened.

"Wow, your attack Fried itcompletely." Yoko's eyes wide, admiring my destruction.

"Wait, what?" Confusion covered my face.

"Yeah, you used up big amount of ki, for that drill attack. Unfortunately we can't harvest anything off of it, but at least we don't have to worry about it." Yoko answered cheerfully.

"So I'm the reason that thing burned up?" I had to ask.

"Yeah, I chalk it up to you admitting to me you're not a fighter. You don't know how to control your levels of ki yet."

"My ki..." My pop culture knowledge from Earth starting to fill in the blanks. I figured ki must be some sort of energy that all monster girls have, that allow us to pull off those unbelievable attacks. It was probably something similar to Mana, or Spirit energy.

"Well I guess we should head back to the village, and let them know about that Skuantula. They can send out the pink berets." Yoko used her thumb to point over shoulder.

Now I was even more confused. "What the heck are the pink berets?"

"Basically they're an elite military police ****. Just in case there's more than one of these nasty buggers out here. Now come on Mina we got to hurry, we don't need anybody else to possibly get eaten." With that, Yoko started to make her way back to the walking trails. I followed behind her both confused, also beginning to understand more of this world.
