D) Rachilla

"Send word to Countess Rachilla Blackford that I accept her marriage proposal" Osric decides to marry the young redheaded widow of Count Eustace Blackford (a very old and very rich lord whom Osric knew only briefly).

Lady Rachilla is several years older than Osric and has already given her maidenhead to her first husband. But she is still famously beautiful and in prime childbearing age. She also inherited a lot of money from her late husband's estates making her one of the richest ladies in the realm.

Her father Earl Edmund Redbeard is a politically ambitious northern earl with many powerful friends. Thus marrying her will bring both a lot of money and a lot of political capital to the Greenfield family so who cares if she is a widow or not?

Lady Rachilla and her entourage arrive at the Greenfield estates a few days later for the wedding. She has brought many servants and ladies in waiting.

Osric smiles seeing how beautiful his bride is. Rachilla looks at him approvingly and says "You seem a lot more virile than my last husband. I expect to make a healthy son with you at the earliest convenience Lord Osric".
