Cyrus explains, and they continue

The curtain fell behind them as the duo ran offstage. Unfortunately, Cyrus was there waiting for them. "Hey, where are you two going? The crowd loves you!"

"Why are we naked?" William demanded. "How are we naked?"

"That's the magic!" Cyrus said happily.

"There's no such thing as real magic!" Cindy said.

"Your nudity says otherwise," Cyrus said with a smirk. "This club specializes in attracting a more...diverse crowd. They crave new forms of passion and desire. You two seemed like just the couple to give it to them?"

"Couple?" William repeated. "But we're not even dating!"

"You're not?" Cyrus asked. "Your friend here said you were. It was a requirement to get hired."

William looked at Cindy who was blushing furiously. "He's just nervous and embarrassed. And why wasn't this mentioned in the interview?"

Cyrus took a deep breath. "Look, we need a new act to attract people, and the pay is good. If you want to leave, I won't stop you, but it will mean your termination. And stay or go, your clothes are gone."

Cindy grimaced and shared a stare with William, unsure of what to do. "I don't know, Will. Should we?"

Will looked back at the stage. The crowd was cheering for them to come back out. "I mean, they obviously like us. And we're gonna be naked anyway."

"And we need the money," Cindy agreed. She slowly removed her hands and held William's cape out to him. He took it and gave her back the top hat. The two straightened out their costumes and walked back out to the stage.

"Okay," Cindy said. "Here goes."

They didn't bother with their poses as the curtain raised. All they could do was stare at the magician artifacts around them and wonder what to do next.
