Custom Religion 1

You check the box next to 'Custom Religion', and another screen takes the previous ones place. It's options are even more bewildering, but fortunately there are hover-able descriptions for these.

You go through spinning out a faith that matches your personal beliefs, selecting both positive, negative, and mixed or neutral options such as 'Monotheist' [Positive, makes conversion easier], 'Sapient Sacrifice (Minor)' [Negative, barbaric and prone to ****] which opens up, 'Sacrifice Those Born Defective (physical)' [Mixed, barbaric and prone to ****, but also functions as a primitive Eugenics Program, and 'reduces reproduction rate' (which is marked as 'short term loss, long term gain').] and 'Polygamist' [Neutral, increases reproduction rate, available population for military service, and reduces number of devout males required to allow the faith to effectively resist assimilation and conversion, but also increases incidence of child ****, deception, false prophets, and infidelity.] You are kind of **** about the 'polygamist' thing but then find some other options that ameliorate the 'child ****' part, such as a dogma directly against it, the flavor text of which is the quote from the bible: 'Better that he should have a millstone tied about his neck and be tossed into the deepest part of the sea than that he should harm one of these my little ones.' You play around with the thousands of options a bit till you are satisfied that it reflects Faith as you would have it if you were the Prophet of a religion, as you apparently are, being sure to select things in all the required categories especially '**** Rites', and 'Marriage Rites', both of which you figure will come up sooner rather than later and to which you therefore pay especial attention, making sure none of what you have already ordered or done is against the doctrine of your new faith, then go all the way to the bottom and click: "(Finalize Religion!)"

The world un-pauses again and you feel a weight in your pocket, which turns out to be a small book, which a quick skim of shows to be a set of parables, proverbs, stories, and so forth somewhat like The Bible but for the faith you just created, and more than half blank...
