Natalie is already in a booth at the diner when Hailey arrives. The sisters hug and exchange pleasantries as the waitress takes their order. They order mimosas and fruit salad then continue on with their conversation. “So…how has mom been? She still posted that I’m dating Jackson?” Hailey asks. “Yeah I guess…she was acting really weird last night when she came home. Don’t know what that was about though.” Natalie says. “I don’t see what the big deal is. So what? He’s black…who cares?!?” Natalie continues. “If only our parents felt the same way…” Hailey says disappointed. “If you know it makes them angry, then why do you do it? Why don’t you just find another guy?” Nat asks her big sis. “Oh babe…trust me…there’s no other man that can do the things for me that Jackson does. He’s…he’s just perfect…” Hailey says in a dreamy tone seeming to be thinking back on some pleasing memory. “What could he possibly do that no other boys can?” Nat asks innocently. “Natalie…honey…have you ever been with a black man?” Hailey asks. “No! Never!!” Natalie retorts almost sounding offended. “Have you been with any men at all?” Hailey asks next. “Of course I have! I’m not some lame virgin! I e been with plenty of boys!” Nat retorts. “That’s just it Nat…boys. You’ve been with boys. You’ve never had a real man.” Hailey says getting that dreamy look in her eye again. “Hailey…I have to ask…is it true?” Nat asks. “Is what true? Hailey responded. “You know…about black guys. Is it true?” Nat says while holding her hands out like she’s measuring something. “Oh! Nat!! You have no idea!!” Hailey says laughing. Nats face blushes and they move on from the topic but Hailey can tell that her sisters mind is still thinking about the BBC rumors. The girls pay their bills and walk out into the afternoon sunshine. “Got any plans tonight?” Hailey asks her sister. “Not really. I was gonna sit around and wait for my boyfriend to call but that’s really it.” Natalie says. “That’s no good. Come over tonight! We’ll drink wine and watch movies! It’ll be great!!” Hailey says and Natalie eagerly accepts the invitation. “Come on over around 8. See you tonight sweetie!” Hailey says as she drives away. She picks up the phone and calls Jackson. “Daddy!! I’ve been a very good girl! I have us a new girl! I think you’ll like who I’m bringing home for you…”
