Crisis in Clampit's Vale

Night was beginning to fall, and inside 'The Golden Shovel', Cesar, Deraxle, & Sakura were busy discussing their plans with Professor Bartfast, Lady Bayannon, and the officers of the village's militia. An emissary for the Deirdre military was also there to oversee things.

"I know the Deirdre armies are stretched to their limits," Cesar told the emissary, "but if there are Dark Elves working with the Orcs, then just us and the Deirdre army alone may not be enough."

"If that is true," the emissary told Cesar, "then the king will have to make some hard decisions about asking the neighboring kingdoms for assistance again."

"Word is that the High and Wood Elves of Fahrendale to the West may be able to help." Deraxle looked to them. "They have been battling Dark Elves for centuries, and rumors are they've been closely monitoring Dark Elven activity in the region."

"Then we may need to start negotiating something with those Elves, then." Cesar nodded and looked down at the map again. "There's so many questions about the Dark Elves' motive in this latest Orc invasion, with the biggest questions pertaining to the Ancient Elven relics hidden in the ruins, and why are they capturing only women. What could they possibly gain from working with the 'Sabretooth Triad'..."

That was when Trini & Cat ran in, obviously out of breath, and soiled with the dirt from the roads and being inside the dig site.

"The Dark Elves are working with the Orcs, and they're using Orianna's written reports to try to get to whatever they're trying to find!" Trini looked to Cesar. "Now they've captured Janissa!"

"Darn!" Cesar did a facepalm, and then looked to the emissary. "There is no time to waste, m'lord. The Deirdre army must be mobilized and brought here now! And get any allies you can muster! There's no telling how many Dark Elves and their minions we're going to be fighting before we can get to the captured women, including Janissa & Orianna...or at least what's left of them!"

"As you wish, Lord Iglessias." The emissary nodded, then bowed. Then he took out a teleportation scroll, and used it to teleport back to Deirdre.

"So what's the plan now, m'lord?" Deraxle looked to Cesar. "There's no telling where they've taken Janissa, much less what they plan to do with all those women they've captured."

"First thing we need to do, is find out where they've taken them." Cesar responded as calmly as he could. "Secondly, we need to wait for the Deirdre army to arrive, so that they can assist us in the coming battle against the Dark Elves and the 'Sabretooth Triad'. Last of all, hope that fate will stay kind to Janissa and the other women."
