Crack open a cold one...

You figure one beer couldn't hurt right? And with that you grab a beer and crack it open before taking a swig, the citrus flavor is a comforting reminder of a normal time. You grab your plate & beer and head out to the front with Paul. You plop down about a seat apart and set your stuff down in front of you.

"So while we eat do you mind if I pop on some Netflix real quick?" he asks, "I don't mind, lets us get the food out of the way so the controllers aren't greasy." you reply. He turns on the TV and puts on a comedy series you recognize and you both dig in. It takes you guys only about fifteen minutes to down your food, you hardly even realized you downed your beer in that time, old habits die hard I guess. "Want another?" Paul asks as he gets up to get seconds motioning towards your empty beer bottle. "Uh, sure. Why not." you reply. He grabs your empty and walks off towards the kitchen. You hear the sound of two bottle tops coming off and soon he's on his way back, a plate and two beers in hand, he sets one down in front of you then sits down next to you. You didn't even notice he sat closer, you just grabbed the beer and resumed drinking.

As he finishes his second plate he speaks up, "I haven't heard back from my buddies yet, we can either just hop into it or if you want we can pop on a movie while we wait. They said something about possibly working later than usual today so it's possible they'll hit me up within the hour." you realize you half heard what he said as you were distracted by the show, "What's that?" you reply, "The Guys, they'll probably let me know if they're coming within the hour. Did you want to start gaming or just pop on a movie until we hear back?" he repeats. "Oh. Uh I mean we can wait for them if you want, or we can get some practice in, I don't really care. Up to you." you answer.
