Could be worse

"Is it okay?" you whisper.

"It could be better; it could be the restaurant, but then it wouldn't be much of a punishment. But this means no more dates since I have to work after school"

"Well, since we don't transform anymore, we could spend the nights talking. "There's no need to hide anymore!" you say, and she just smiles and turns her attention towards Eric.

Eric continues to address the problems that have been reported during the month, and a few other people even went to the main table to make presentations about certain issues.

After what felt like 2-3 hours, everyone is tired, and the room becomes more and more restless.

"Ok, let's end this meeting here. As you've heard, the vampires seem to be planning something, so be careful of that too. It seems that a lot of people are preparing to make moves; don't let us be the ones to spark the gunpowder. Dismissed!" He concludes the meeting.

You hear a lot of "Yes!" and "Yes, sir!" from the crowd, and everyone gets up and gets ready to leave.

Marc grabs Nicole's hand and drags her out before you even have time to say goodbye. The poor guy was nervous the whole time; you are surprised no one said anything since you are pretty sure everyone smelled his fear. You tried to ignore him, but having you right behind him was too much.

"So, how was your first meeting, big guy?" asks Mia.

"It was fine, I was a bit nervous, but I'm glad Jenny got a slap on the wrist and nothing serious happened"

"I'm glad too, but I'll miss not seeing you after school..." She grabs your arm with both hands and places it between her boobs.

"I know... and for six whole months..."

"6 months of agony..."

You kiss her.

"Gross" Mia disapproves of your public affection.

"Find a boyfriend and you'll see it's fun!" teases Jenny.

"I can't be bothered with you, just don't forget to bring the tests tomorrow!" and with that, she leaves you alone with Jenny.

"Time to go." She drives you to your place. Since you guys don't transform anymore, it makes no sense to keep sleeping together in a dungeon. You were so busy during these weeks that you didn't even have time for school.

The next morning you wake up and take care of the tests according to Mia's instructions, and Jenny drives you to drop them off at Mia's office and then to school. Things return to a normal schedule, and even with Jenny at work, you don't get much free time as you have to catch up with the disruption that becoming a werewolf has caused.

As days pass, a new problem starts to creep in. You have a Spanish class the next day, and even if Jenny had hers earlier and Ms. Rodriguez didn't say anything, that doesn't mean she won't recognise you. After all, Jenny was hidden by the bush but you weren't.
