Cosplaying Irl

(Rita’s POV)

What the hell is this quest! Did the app misunderstand me somehow? I can’t do that. Dressing up in cosplay to go to school… Everyone will laugh at me!

Well maybe they won’t because of the perk but still.

I don’t know what to do, and the reward is so good! I want Cosplay III so much… But is it worth the humiliation?

Come on Rita, what’s the worst that could happen? People laugh at you, then they forget all about it during the weekend!

I dress up as Wei, since I don’t think my Waterkeeper cosplay would count as more than a dress without the mask. I go to June’s room and knock on the door.

“What is it Rita? Please hurry up, I’m not dressed yet.” She says, and I ask her to check me.

She opens the door, still in her underwear and look me up and down.

“So? Didn’t do your makeup yet? Want help again?” She says as if wearing my cosplay first thing in the morning was totally normal.

Okay, that reassures me a little, I guess this perk is stronger than I thought.

I’ll try going to school like this.

(Maria’s POV)

Quest : Make a friend at the gym

Reward : Friendly I perk

Is this app telling me I’m friendless? Just because I haven’t talked to anyone at the gym yet? I’m just preparing myself that’s all.

And I might have been scared of people judging my body… Or wondering why I gain muscle so fast.

I do have some visible muscles now, I gained a lot when I brought Rita to the gym, and my exercise is twice as efficient as it should be, so after two weeks I guess it really shows.

Anyway, this quest will be easy, how hard could it be to find someone to talk to? I remember seeing a few girls often during yoga, I’ll just have to start there.

(Matt’s POV)

Quest : Stream for an hour

Reward : Quest becomes permanent

Pretty easy, that's already what I do so I don't mind getting more xp everyday.

What bothers me is that I already received a message from the person I contacted for my avatar.

[Got super inspired, expect your avatar Sunday or Monday!]

Is it the bonus reward? Please don't go that fast. Actually, I don't have to stream with it as soon as I receive it, but since I'm putting a lot of money into it I don't want it to go to waste.

(Cotton's POV)

Why was it so good? I wipe my lower lips as I try to calm down. I simply bought coffee for Ann as she arrived to the school cafeteria and as soon as she thanked me I felt the same feelings as yesterday.

It's like my lower body got turned on all of a sudden, I had to press my thighs together to hide the dark spot appearing on my pants.

What the hell is happening to me? I know I had to test it and I really got some pleasure from giving a cup of coffee to someone.

I look at the app again.

It stopped giving me quests but it still gives me perks and xp. I wonder how that works. This Servicing perks is suspicious too.

Servicing I: +50% efficiency doing tasks to service someone.

It only talks about being more efficient but I wonder if it doesn't have some secondary effect. It could be that it tries to incite me to serve people but that won't work on me.

Even though I'd like to feel this pleasure again... Maybe I can just try it out one more time. Handing coffee to people is easy after all, I just have to secure myself first. I don't want to soak in wet fluid.

Ann is waiting for me as I left her to inspect myself. I want to make it up to her, maybe assist her for an hour.

Right, that's the right thing to do. I leave the bathroom, and the blonde is waiting for me.

"What was it?" She says worried.

"Just had to go, I'm fine now." As she hears that, she smiles.

"You bitch, you just had to take a piss and you couldn't just say that? I had to leave my coffee to check on you."

"Shut up, I'm the one who gave you a coffee anyway." I say as she laughs.

"Whatever. Do you want to skip today? A new salon just opened."

"You were the one lecturing me for always skipping last time!"

"Maybe, but this time there's a reason. Plus we studied enough last time and I want a break." She explains as I sigh.

"Whatever you want."

(John's POV)

I gave everyone their quests, I pushed it a little far with Cotton, but it seems that the Target Unawareness perks is doing a lot of works.

Quest: "Assist a friend for an hour"

Reward: Assistant I perk

The quest is considered advanced so I guess she trusts her friends more than I thought.

I'm slowly moving her towards her class, and it seems like there isn't that much resistance coming from her. I wonder what she thought when she saw her class.

Anyway, I close my phone and start working. This moring I'll have to watch over school students but it will be pretty calm this afternoon.

When the kids arrive, Maria starts talking with the teacher while I try to make the kids sit at the tables. I'll never be used to how loud they are as they run around ignoring me.

At some point the teacher comes at my rescue and they calm down under her authority. She then explains the exercise they'll have to do again.

They'll each borrow a book and write about it. Than they'll swap it with one of their classmates and read theirs.

It's an initiative to introduce reading to kids and to make them share their thoughts with each other.

I think it's a good idea but I'm not sure most of those kids will actually bother reading the books they chose. They then spread around looking for which book to choose.

After ten minutes of looking around, most kids have a book in hand, mostly small and thin ones. But a girl is apart from the group and seems to panic.

I decide to go help her but I might be too intimidating because she looks scared when she looks at me before backing away.

Maria joins me and she makes it look easy. In less than a minute, the girl opens up and talks to her like someone trustful.

Maria smiles warmly at her and helps her choose a book that interests her and is around her skill level. She settles on a story about a kid joining a secret organization to save the world.

When the teacher gathers them again, she happily shows her book to her friends that complain about having to read something that big if they end up swapping with her.

Maria smiles while she watches over her from afar.

"You really got along well." I start.

"That was easy, she's an adorable kid, and she's very smart for her age. I had to stop myself from hugging her."

I laugh quietly at that.

The students leave soon after and we go back to our usual work waiting for our lunch break to come.

Author's Note : This chapter was hard to write (and a little short) because I don't have access to my computer for a while. I also don't want to handle the character's stats on my phone.
