" Honestly, I have no clue. I sent her to this rich family that wanted to uncover things about their past but it has been a couple days since she sent a word. It might be nothing or it could be anything. "

" And why don't you send someone to investigate ? "

" No one took the job yet. And still, I already got paid. She is the one who did not collect her pay. Beats me."

" Right. Well anyway, if it's a rich family, why are you telling me all this ? Didn't you say there is some secrecy around rich people jobs ? "

There is some kind of a feud going on in the family. They are silk merchants, own one of the biggest markets in the whole city but with the old one gone, the young ones are battling for inheritance. And with that, Triss set out of the Putrid Grove and into the city of Novigrad to go look for her lost friend, the oneiromancer, Corinne Tilly. She followed the directions given to her by the King of Beggars, crossed the giant bridge that leads to the headquarters of the eternal fire. She followed the road until she got to the building that was set to be as Daevon residence. After walking up to the door and knocking, an older male human opened the door, dressed in black and white outfit.

" Yes ? Do you need something ? "

" I came here to find Larig Daevon. I was told he lives here and I need to speak to him."

" I'm sorry but Lord Larig is occupied right now. Please leave." The butler began closing the door but Triss put her foot in between the door, preventing him from closing it.

" Please. It's important. If you could get him, I will explain everything to him personally. "

" Very well. Come in." She steps in and after the butler closes the door, he turns to go up the stairs.

" Please wait here... miss. How should I introduce you to Master Daevon ? "

" Tell him I am a friend of a friend." A couple minutes later, the butler comes down the stairs only this time a young gentleman with short black hair wearing a very expensive looking black and gold tunic follows him.

" You are looking for me ? " He says as he looks Triss up and down.

" Yes my lord. I was sent here by the King of Beggars. He wanted me to check on our mutual acquaintance. Corinne Tilly. She came here to do a job here for you but she never sent a word back. I came to find out why. " The young man raised his chin and then pondered for a while.

" Hm, yes. You probably wouldn't know she is here unless you heard it from him. Very well. Follow me. I will take you to her.
