Copy: Family

Intrigued by the possibilities the other buttons held, Ash decided that she would use one of the still unknown ones on Alexa. Pulling the remote from her bag, she looked over the buttons to decide which one she wanted to use, eventually landing on the orange button in the "Copy-Category". Before she could aim the remote, however, Serena approached her from her position behind her mistress, curious about what she was doing.

"Please forgive me for intruding on your personal business, Mistress, but what is this remote you're holding?" the maid asked. "I have never seen it in your possession before, let alone you acquiring it."

Ash thought for a moment about how to deal with this situation, but eventually decided that she could make good use of her maid being aware of the remote. "Well, Serena, this is a special remote I found just recently," she said in a way that only the two of them could hear. "It can actually change reality."

Serena, reacting composed as only a maid could, replied similarly confidential. "A reality-changing remote? How can something like this even exist?"

"I don't know how it's possible, but I'm actually holding it in my hand," Ash told her. "And you're not questioning this at all?"

"I have no reason to question you, Mistress," the maid said, shaking her head. "As your faithful maid, it is my duty to obey and serve you in any way I can. The word of my mistress is above all else."

Satisfied with the answer, Ash continued, "I am very happy to hear that, Serena. From now on, you'll assist me as I experiment with the remote to see what else it can do."

"Of course, Mistress," she said, curtsying. "I'm honored to be able to help you with this."

"Good, now that this is taken care of, let's start with our first experiment," Ash said before pointing at Alexa. "Now that you're aware of the remote's powers, I want to know if this also makes you aware of the changes once I use it on Alexa."

Once Serena had nodded in understanding, Ash finally aimed the remote at Alexa, who by now was just about to finish her coffee. After pressing the button she had selected earlier, she immediately looked down at herself to see what she had copied from her target. Right away, she could see the skin on her arms and fingers, and most likely the rest of her body, was now much lighter and extremely similar in tone to that of Alexa. As she continued to inspect herself, she also noticed how her hair had turned from its original black to a brown that was slightly darker than Alexa's and, while remaining at shoulder-length, now had similar curls to both her and her sister Viola.

Putting the remote back into her bag, Ash once again turned to face her maid. "So, do you notice anything different about me, Serena?"

"Unfortunately not, Mistress," she replied, shaking her head. "But it seems like your sister has noticed us and is coming over here."

As Ash pieced together what exactly she had copied from Alexa thanks to her changes and Serena's remark, Alexa approached her from behind and proceeded to give her a hug. "Hey Sis! What are you doing here in Pallet Town?"

"Oh, hey Alexa," Ash replied before turning around. "We were just visiting Professor Oak and stopped at the Pokémon-Center to give our Pokémon a quick check-up."

"Really? I visited him too earlier today for an interview on his current research," Alexa told the two. "Now that I've finished my work here, I'll be heading back to Kalos fairly soon. I know you're planning to take on the Kanto Gyms, but if you like, you and Serena can come back home with me for now."

Hearing the offer, Ash was considering whether she should take it. Although it hadn't been in this reality, she had already taken on the Kanto Gyms and competed in the Indigo League. However, in this new reality, she could use the skills she had gained over all her other journeys to try again and win the League this time. On the other hand, she could also join Alexa in traveling back to Kalos, this time as part of her family. She had to admit that she was a little curious about her new life as the younger sister of both Alexa and Viola after all.
