Converse for awhile

Claire, Ashe and yourself are sitting around a wooden table, a lone torch in the middle standing on it's end, many chunks of bread sitting around the table which all three of your are enjoying. You use your dagger to slice loaves of bread into equal pieces and evenly distribute the pieces between you, Claire & Ashe.

"This is lovely!" Claire states as she takes another bite out of the somewhat stale piece of bread "Not the best tasting but holy shit, I could eat anything right now."

Ashe brings her arm up to her mouth, wiping away another strand of saliva "Not everything" she dry heaves once more thinking about her slide down the poop chute.

Darien and Claire laugh out loud at her remark.

"Yeah yeah..." you chuckle "I'm trying my best here!" you smirk at the ladies "At least Claire knows to keep her mouth closed!" you laugh

Claire pushes you slightly, laughing at you, her eyes never leaving yours, her smile beaming hard in your direction "I can't believe you thought of that in the situation we were in!?!" she confessed.

"Hahaha!" you laugh "Claire...I'm the best god damn warrior in the world!" you puff your chest out "Of course I know what to do!" you smile hardily.

Ashe just watches the two of you, constantly laughing at each other, playing with each other, enjoying each other's company.

"Hahah! Stop!" you grab Claire's hands as she was tickling your rib cage "Don't you dare!" your eyes go wide as you stare into her.

"Darien!!!" she laughs "You got lucky!!! Never again!" she smiles as she pulls her hand loose from your grip before bringing it around your side, trying her best to poke and prod into your rib cage.

"Hahhaha!" you laugh out loud as her fingers tickle your side "Claire!!!" you say before you grab her wrists, forcing her to stop.

"So tell me, how the hell did you know your way around so well?" Claire asks

"I lived here for five years. This was basically my home." you respond

"Five years? What? You were here for five years?"

"Yeah, trying to find you."

"Darien, I wish I would have know!"

"Don't worry about it. We're together now."

"To be honest, I never thought I'd see you again after I was taken." Claire takes a deep breath "Honestly, I didn't even know if you were still alive." you see her slightly frown

"Claire..." you pause "What Rixx did to you. What Rixx did to our village. Errian deserved it. Not us."

"Yeah...I guess."

"Who the fuck are you two?" Ashe finally interrupts the conversation, her left eyebrow raising in your direction "And what the hell does Errian have to do with you?"

It catches the two of you off guard. You were in the zone, you were enjoying each other, you were just having a normal conversation about your past. Unfortunately, you forget Ashe was there...
