Kuro grumbled as the cubs whined in their makeshift wicker basket. The young father growled softly to pacify them before looking back at his mate. He didn't much like that they were keeping the unae instead of eating her but ah well.
"I'm certain fish would be a valuable food source to our mate too. The ocean is plentiful even in the winter. It would give wild animals the chance to increase their numbers instead of overhunting them."
Syet mused, running a hand through her light brown locks of wavy hair. In the dim lighting all around from the moon and stars, her face most evidently had a serene beauty to it. And her eyes seemed to change colours between hazel and murky brown depending on the lighting.
