Conversation with the Angel

With that I decided to find a place where people won't be staring at me like I'm crazy...this place is quite human. Too human.

This is a full blown village where goblins and human lived together. What sort of place have I spawned into?

Underneath a large tree near the temple I sat down and glance toward the angel that has been blushing all this time.

It would be real fun to continued teasing the angel-

Oh, his face immediately scrunched up. Seem like he can really read my thought. Weird.

"Excuse me? The reason why I'm like this is because of you, green-skin bastard!"

Whoa, relax. Don't wanna start a race war here. Actually, is it just me or is his apperance different? Ariel sigh then and clutch his forehead.

"What you are seeing right now is probably the weakest I've ever been. An angel, the divine of high class can't enter the mortal realm without severely limiting themselves otherwise the natural order goes out of whack."

He then pointed at himself.

"Me? I'm almost strong enough to almost be considered an Arch-Angel despite not being born one. They didn't gave me the title of [Lion of Heaven] for no reason...and due to that most of my power are now gone too."

Damn, what a shame. You definitely would be a lot better huh.

"Hey! Are you looking down on me?! I may not have physical form now and most of my offensive Spells are gone. But belived me I have buffs out the wazoo...because I'm no longer [Heaven's Blade] Class. But a damn Tier V [Guardian Angel]..."

His confidence voice wane bit by bit the more he spoke. His eyes downcast and gloomy aura loom over his spectral body.

I am feeling genuinely sorry for him. I wouldn't wanted all my hard earned things to just suddenly changed into something lesser either. But I don't regret picking him. I need a guide. If what Melanoche and Carnachias is true then this world is vastly different from mine, and frankly, despite being born a monster, even having my very own soul changed into one.

I still feel more at home seeing, talk, acting like a human. Old habit die hard, as the old says goes. So your guide is necessary if I don't want to hurt other or make them hurt me.

At that, Ariel scoff.

"Oh? Did you now? Do you know how much I tried to stop your barbaric act inside the temple, y-you—!"

I eyed the angel above me.

I don't understand what came over me either. Seeing her so **** just made me so...excited.

Yet, even after the deed was done. It felt great doing so. Even now I don't feel a hint of regret inside.

And frankly, that freak me out a bit...if this is gonna be a common things, I need you to reign me back in.

The angel's eyes widen. His eyes staring right at me. I mean every words I said. I did, in fact, enjoyed and doesn't regret what I did. But even so the fact that it happened mean that the Monster instinct can taken over.

So I need you to always reminded me of that fact, that I'm not just some animal following my instinct.

It felt like forever before he broke the staring contest with a click of his tongue as he cross his legs together.

"Fine~, since I'm a generous angel I'll lend you some help. But if you act badly then there won't be any heal or buffs coming your way in dire situation."

He said that yet I could see a smile on his face. Hey, you're too easy here. If you were a girl I'll might goes nuts for real you know.

"H-hey! What with that thought process?! You'd think you can hit on me with your ugly mutt of a face! Not in a hundred, no! A thousand years!"

What a funny guy. It's okay to be bi especially when you are this pretty.

Ariel eyes me for a few seconds before letting out a sigh.

"Fine, it can't be help. But if I catched you having impure thought about me I will..."

'No worry, I don't swing that way.'

Now, what next, right the exp.

'So, Ariel. I got some question, if I were to leveled up, between Monster Evolution and Class Promotion which one has the likelihood of making me more in control of my instinct?'

Ariel's face turn complicated then. His hand placing on his chin as he start mumbling.

"It's a tough question. Monster Evolution changed are unpredictable and usually unstable. However that could just be because of the fact that the one it evolved form are glorified animal. And there's plenty of case where the anomalistic monster has turned into a genius. For example, a slime once was able to absorbed enough human and demons alike and transformed into something far more cunning and sinister."

He shuddered a bit upon saying that. Hey now, don't say anymore I don't want to deal with lawyers here.

"And for Class, that's entirely dependent on what you get. There's Class that was made to refined your mind like Swordmaster but that's a Tier V Class-"

'Does it evolved from Knight?'

"A combination of Knight and Martial Artists. But a lot of things can happened along the way and Swordmaster can be locked-"

"Got it, leveling up Knight."

"Wait, what? You can't choose where the exp went to, you need to trained-"

I took a deep breath. Immediately I felt a difference in myself. My body grow more durable, far more than I could ever hoped for. I simply just knew it.

"...Well, how was it? Your first Level Up?"

I spoke out loud.

And man, once I taste of this I immediately wanted more. Without even thinking I pour my remaining exp into my other Class.

I could goes further. But seeing how every 5 level I got a 'Perk Point', I wonder if I'll got the same thing for my Race LV as well.

Once again my body shudders. Instinctively I knew that my mind grow a bit sharper and my feet were lighters.

With that done, that only left enough exp to also bump my Race up a Level...it felt wrong. Yet I'm also excited to what would happened, if it's different compare to Class Level Up. I should have asked Ariel but I need to see this for myself.

My eyes widen as my mouth curved into a grin. Holy shit. This is what it's like to be born with a cheat? No wonder every Isekai MC goes on a powertrip at least once.

For now though I'll hold off the rest of the exp for future used. Now...let see what sort of 'Perk' I could get.

[Possible Perk List:

Str 100: Power Overwhelming - Upgraded by Powerful Monster Core. Your attack deal an additional 30% attack damage and have a chance to inflict mental statuses effect onto those with Str lower than you.

Dex 100: Nimnle - Quick and nimble on your feet, a goblin's essential. You gain %50 evasion from all attack while you are running.

Dex 200: Evasion Dilation - Upgraded by Timefruit Juice - You can forego the additional action granted by the Timefruit Juice in order to completely dodge an attack that would hit you. By using this Perk you also negated the effect of Sure-Hit and Instant-Hit.

Int 100: Spark of Knowledge - While spells are not too hard to come by as one grow. It is exceedingly difficult to properly learned a new spell. You are now able to cut half the time you need to learned a brand new spell.

Int 200: Font of Mana - Everyone has their own pool of mana that they can access. You are able to reach deeper than most. Granted +100% to Mana.

Cons 100: Tough - What can you say? You simply born tougher than other. Upon picking this perk you gained HP equal to double your Cons scores. Upon every level up you gained an additional +3 to cons.

Cons 200: Unalienable Form - Your muscle, skin, and bone have become ludicrously, immensely tougher. Your strength, stamina, and reflexes have also increased immensely. You are now no longer affected by the debuffs of Moderate Wounds, your opponent has 50% less chance to inflicted Moderate Wounds or higher, reduced all physical and magical damage taken by 10%.

Def 100: Deflect - Fighting 101, strike when your opponent have an opening. If they have none then make some. Whenever you took an attack that dealt less than 10% of your HP immediately followed up with a counter attack.

Def 200: Defender - What do you do when there are people weaker that you? Defend them. Protect them. And they'll become your strenght as well. When you fighting to protecting allies that are weaker than you, you gained +10% to your Def for each one.

Res 100: Grit - When you took a hit you took it like a man. Massively increased Pain threshold, reduced the chance of being knocked out from Pain by 50%.

Res 200: Endure - Hungry? Hasn't eaten for days? Just pushed through it. Missing your legs and bleeding out? Just willpower through it. Whenever you are affected by a massively debilitated debuffs from Exhaustion, Hunger ans Wounds, it's effect are reduced by 100% for the next hour, then reduced that effect by 50% for the rest of the day.

Goblin LV5: Pride of The Small - They always looks down upon you. You who are beneath them. Little do they know that the underestimated always have hidden fangs. Negated increased damage taken from enemies of Medium to Large size. Increased your attack and defense against enemies of Medium to Large size by 10%.

Knight LV5: Icon - You are standing out compare to other. And by that fact alone uplifted other. All of your allies stats are increased by 10% of your stats.

Assassin LV5: No Trace - The first step to becoming a true assassin is to left no trace behind. You no longer left any sort of footprints behind. It is now impossible to tracks you through physical mean. When you killed someone that doesn't aware of your existence, every noise related to that **** are silent.]
