No rest for the wicked

With a strained groan George bent down and cleaned up the last bits and pieces scattered around the classroom. As usual, he had assumed he’d get the job done quickly, but reality set in pretty quickly. George had been laboring all day, climbing up and down his ladder, painting and painting and painting. The wall just didn’t seem to end, even worse, it soaked up paint like a sponge. After two thick coats of the white paint, George called it good enough. He gathered his tools and stood back to look upon his hard work. It was worth it in the end, the classroom looked a lot less like a prison with the big wall painted. Before he left, George thought to write a little note for Melissa, as she had written him. He walked over to her desk and rummaged around for a pen and a piece of paper. He found a cutesy notebook with pink pages and little butterflies in the corners, he didn’t know Melissa was into that sort of stuff. ‘Melissa, it has been my pleasure to help you make your new classroom that much more enjoyable. I hope you enjoy the new paint job and even more so, I hope to receive your personal thanks soon.’ George hadn’t forgotten about the hint the teacher had left him at the end of her letter._ ‘A personal thanks’ _George couldn’t wait to find out what that meant.
When he left George locked the door behind him, almost all classes were already done and only a handful of students roamed the halls of the massive school building. He walked down the steps and popped his head into the hallway to say goodbye to Barbara, she waived to him happily, even though her cheeks were flushed with shyness. George clambered into his golf cart, having carefully stuffed his tools in it as well. He sighed as he began longing for the comfort of his bed, when he suddenly remembered a text he had gotten. In the morning, when he had fixed a sink in the girls dorm, the girl that had initially called him had gotten more than just a working sink. Jenny and him had ended up making out a bit, a memory that warmed his body as it played through his mind. He had told her to text him and promised that he’d call her later. Now was later, much later then George had anticipated, but not too late as of yet. While he drove towards his cabin, George got out his phone and called the tall brunette.
“Hey Jen, sorry I’m calling you so late, I got caught up at work. You still down to hang out?”
“George! I almost gave up on you! Actually you called at the perfect time, me and my roommate were just about to got a club, want to join us?”
“Uhmm sure, that sounds great. How about I meet you girls at the dorms?”
“Alright, but hurry up George, we are ready to go dancing!”
George hadn’t been to a club in good long while, as a matter of fact, he wasn’t sure he’d ever been. He knew Jen was 20 and her roommate couldn’t be much older, so he wondered how they were even going to get into the club? George raced to his house and ran inside, he ran to bathroom while ripping his work clothes off. Of all days to be covered in sweat and paint, today must have been the worst one. He frantically turned on the shower and jumped in the freezing cold water. He screamed some obscenities but quickly got to work scrubbing his body. Morgan had bought him some wonderful smelling body wash after she had stayed the night. She had told him that he was an adult and that he couldn’t just keep using all in one douche gel. Smelling the soap George was **** to agree, this was perhaps less convenient, but way better still. After perhaps the quickest shower of his life, George dried himself off and ran to his bedroom to find the nicest clothes he owned. Unfortunately there weren’t many. He put on some nice black trousers and found his only white button up that wasn’t wrinkled. While still buttoning up the shirt, George ran out of his front door and jumped back into his golf cart. He knew he wouldn’t be able to drive it home after he came back from the club, but he was in a hurry. With his foot down on the pedal George headed towards the dorms.
