The sound of an alarm going off greets Courtney as her bare legs stretch out from beneath her pink colored blanket. Her body extends out as a yawn is released into the air, the young twenty year-old stretching before finally slamming their hand on top of the mute button for their alarm clock. Pushing herself out of the bed, Courtney looked around with a somewhat irritated look. She needed to go to work today after all.

Yawning, she shoved herself out of bed, hesitantly landing on her feet. Courtney looks at the time on the clock and a panicked look appears on her face. She only has 20 minutes to get to work! She overslept, and her alarm clock didn't even wake her up until later on! Curse being such a hard sleeper! Without much time to think, Courtney hurried to her bathroom, practically leaving a trail of dust behind her. Courtney hurried into the bathroom of her apartment, taking the time to brush her teeth and even shower at the same time in order to save time.

In record timing, Courtney was out of the apartment in her work clothes and rushing down the road on top of her bicycle. She's investing for a car of course! It's just hard with the job that she's working. Hurrying down, she finally reached her job with just a few minutes to spare. It was only about 10 minutes away, but it takes a lot of time for her to get ready due to how self conscious she is about her appearance.

Entering the store, Manager Kim (the Manager of the Store) looked at her with a somewhat shocked look. "Oh my! I'm surprised, Courtney! Usually you come in earlier than this!" The older woman was about 20 years older than Courtney, always poking fun at her. "I overslept, thankfully I managed to make it here on time regardless!" She said while catching her breath. She placed a hand on her own chest, slouching over while she kept a hand on the wall.

"I'll clock in soon. Just... give me some time." She needed some time to catch her breath after pushing her limits to get here. A kind smile then formed on the Manager's face as she only gave a nod in response. Kim made her way into her office, leaving Courtney to get ready. She was one of the only few employees that worked at this Convenience Store which was why her pay was so good. It was practically a family business granted she wasn't apart of Kim's family at all.
