Going down the sidewalks would be the most direct and clear way. However, it was broad daylight, and there wasn't a lot of obvious hiding places available to her. On the other hand, it was the middle of the day. If Anna had to guess, it was near lunch time. Most of her neighborhood would be at work. Most of them.

Alternatively, there was the alley that ran behind all of the houses. There were even fewer places to hide than the main street, and she wasn't sure how she was going to climb the fence, but she was less likely to be seen.

The only other route available to Anna would be hopping fences and going through her neighbors backyards. Of course, that would be trespassing. Trespassing while naked. On the upside, the various backyards were going to offer more potential hiding spots.
